> 3 dayFor the most part this is an excellent product until you change the password on your router, then you lose all the hard work you have invested in scanning your original remotes. The universval remote app does offer the ability to backup the remotes. Unfortunately, this did not work for me using my android tablet. I did manage to backup two remotes using my android phone. Today, I added another remote but could not backup with my phone or tablet. While trying to backup remote, I get submission failed, please check network status. I find it hard to believe that Verizon and Mediacom cannot connect to Broadlinks servers reliably.

> 3 dayThis device is awesome. I wanted to integrate an entertainment system with Alexa. This device bridges that gap. It operates everything I need. Xbox, TV, Amplifier, everything turns on, scrolls through menus, adjusts settings. I am pleased and can recommend this. It does take a little effort to learn and setup, but once its set, its a solid smart home improvement.

> 3 dayCompramos 1 para hacer la prueba, buscando como controlar los aires y la televisión con Alexa. El resultado fue lo esperado. Solo que aún no hemos configurado el cambio de canales. Por que es un proceso que requiere tiempo. Cuando lo tenga funcionando actualizo mis comentarios. Definitivamente se requiere un en cada estancia.

> 3 dayIt works perfectly for an IR Blaster that is connected to Home Assistant. My recommendation is to not have it connected to the internet.

> 3 dayVery nice, I connect my device in living room with no problem at all, added my smart tv, air conditioner, fan, air purifier, very fast and linked it to my existing Google nest mini to using with speak assistant with no problem at all. I can use my google assistant to on-off, set temperature of my air conditional with no problem at all --> my air conditioner brand found in the library can fast to add it. I use my google assistant to on-off my fan --> because my fan not common brand so I use learn function to learn from my fan ir remote control with no problem at all. I use my google assistant to on-off my air purifier --> same as fan my air purifier is local OEM brand so I use learn function to learn the it remote control and add the devide to broadlink app with no problem, after add the device I also link it all to google assistant. I can use my google assistant to on-off my tv --> Same as my air conditioner, my tv is LG smart tv so added to broadlink device with no problem at all with the library data. Very satisfied with the result, actually can set condition in broadlink app for the devices but since I just set up today so will do it later. Actually before I tried the same product with other not famous brand same device, it can add my tv to the device and used with google assistant, but other devices only can add by learn the remote control but only can use my phone as remote, the learned function couldnt use in my speak assistant normally. Very disappointed. Then I decided purchase this Broadlink RM4 pro and try it, all function normal and link to speak assistant with all devices also operate with no problem by the speak assistant. And the temperature & humidity sensor also function with no problem in broadlink app, I can add it to my speak assistant but not yet know how to use it with speaking. ;D Thank you, very happy. Recommended the item.

> 3 dayNowadays, all companies are trying to facilitate the installation and configuration process of their products, and some of them achieved a zero touch or automatized flow but Broadlink have not started to work in this, the installation process is almost similar to how was install periphericals in the 80s or 90s. I came to believe that it would be necessary to download a driver, install it first and then try the remote control installation again. It is almost impossible to install a broadlink if there is a good wifi network, if someone has a wifi mesh network it is best not to buy this product. Broadlink says that the remote control needs a 2,4GHz wif network (old fashioned network) but the app does not accept to install the remote control when the wifi network is mesh type (2,4GHz + 5GHz + band steering)!!!!, and the problem is the app!, not the broadlink. I had to use a very old smartphone (it just support 2,4GHz for wifi) and the app finally accepted to install the remote control using the wifi mesh network!. The application has other nonsense problems, for example is not possible to register using google account, it is mandatory to create an user in the broadlink app and then select apple or google account!!!. After some hours trying to install the first broadlink it has finally worked and it is fare to say that works very well, the IR signal is better (coverage angle) than the original remote control of my air conditioner

> 3 dayUpdate: now that I’ve had for about a week, here’s my update. Lost a star, because broadlink hub has to be directly in front of the receiver for it to work and looks ridiculous; needs IR blasters. Response time to turn volume up and down is terrible. 2 stars because I can control with Alexa. Honestly, $50 more and get the Harmony hub and place anywhere around the receiver. Even if Harmony can’t reach receiver, I can use IR blaster. I did program to use fireplace remote, but again the broadlink hub has to be directly in front of the fireplace. I got the broadlink so I can use IR and RF, but so far I can’t get get any RF to work. Was able to connect my Denon receiver without any problems using IR. Did relearn some of the buttons on the BroadLink app to match my remote. Will not connect to my RF remote ceiling fan. Doesn’t help that I don’t know what the RF is to my remote. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of.

> 3 dayI bought the RM4 Pro for an awning remote. It learns IR control well and works well. I try to use an RF control but it doesnt work. The RM4 learns the RF but will not send it when to the Sunsetter Awning.
