> 3 dayI would have given this a five but I had to remove the long bus that runs from the top to the bottom of the battery case and bend the ends just past a true 90* angle so as to get the bus to lay in the case better. Then I had to use some clear silicone caulk to insulate that same bus so it would not rise up out of its slot and cause a short as some other reviewers have experienced. This case is a very complicated part to mold and Im very impressed with the quality of it. It fit my UV5R+ perfectly. If you choose to go the route I did please use some very tight fitting needle nose pliers so you can get the accuracy needed.

Greater than one weekWorks just fine but didnt exactly fit the radio. Theres a thin plastic lip that has to be trimmed off along the bottom of the cavity where the radio fits in that has to be trimmed off. Why they couldnt just make it to fit the radio to begin with I dont know. Once this is trimmed off, it fits perfectly.

> 3 dayCant speak for the performance yet - Ill update that later. For now I just wanted to easy any concerns users of the Baofeng BF-F8HP: these do fit, though they are VERY tight. Im perfectly fine with a tight fit over a loose fit. You have to push the pack in very hard to get it to click, and it may take several tries to get used to it. Getting them off is slightly more difficult, but again, if it means a real good tight fit I dont mind so much. I do highly recommend removing the antenna before taking it off, as its too easy to want to pull on the antenna for leverage, and thats a very bad idea. No modification necessary for the Baofeng BF-F8HP on either of the two I own. The fit is VERY tight, but thats a good thing.

> 3 daySlides on easily, though you have to push pretty firmly to click it into place. Once clicked in, the fit is perfect - no overhang or mismatched surfaces. Fits 6 x AA Eneloops and the UV-5RA works fine for Rx and Tx. The center battery contact seems anchored solidly, with little risk of shorting against the contacts to the radio. But adding some glue or plastic insulation as a preventive seems like a low risk, low effort hedge against any problems.

> 3 dayNo alterations required, slid right on like its supposed to . Dont goet snookered into getting a cheaper replacement, go with the manufacturer item. I learned that the hard way.
