> 3 dayNot much to say about this. Its a perfect fit for my F8HP. It means I have a way to get power to the radio even if the power is gone. Im not planning to use this instead of the regular battery, but in addition to it for any sort of emergency (or while traveling with the radio so I dont have to carry the charger too, Im lazy). Im quite pleased with the fit and the ease of replacing the batteries. This is a great addition to a great radio. ADDITION: I also got the car charger recently. It works really well. Fits precisely and generates exactly the right power. It does feel a little cheap and fragile. That makes me worry about it banging around in the car. Overall, Im quite pleased. I added this to the review because Amazon thinks these are the same product.

> 3 dayI am impressed! This is a quality piece of work. The plastic is high grade and thick enough to be plenty durable. It has a very solid feel, and is a perfect fit to my radio. With the batteries installed, you cant tell it form the 3800MAH battery. Battery performance will vary depending on the batteries you use, but with 3800 MAH NiMH batteries, It lasted far longer than the 3800MAH LiON battery I bought with the radio ever did. BTW, that is why I bought this battery box. The Baofeng 3800 MAH LiON battery I bought was thoroughly depleted after just 6 months of use. I figured I could do better with NiMH batteries. I highly recommend getting this instead of the standard 3800 MAH battery. ATTENTION: Reviewer, For Realz pointed out a design flaw in this battery box that could cause injury. There is good chance the battery pack can short out if the middle battery contact comes in contact with the radio contact. There is only a small air gap between them. I used a piece of credit card plastic to insulate them, It wedged in tight enough it wont come out, but to be sure, you can SuperGlue it in place. This will solve this hazardous problem. This does not change my rating, but this *is* something you need to know.

> 3 dayOver time, the cable has a tendency to pull out of the housings. I put a small zip-tie around both ends where they go into a bushing type thing. But as far as providing power to a Baofeng (or similar) from a cigarette lighter fitting on a car: It does the job well.

> 3 dayWell built battery, allows easier handling of radio with extended grip. Battery virtually lasts for days when going out for weekend ventures. Great battery to have in your B.O.B / radio kit.

> 3 dayThis review is about the BL-5 AA. This battery pack should cost about half the price -- theres not much to it. And you will need to modify it as other reviewers have indicated, or it will short itself near the center-top, where the external contacts pass near the internal battery contact. That said, its very versatile. It works with both Alkaline and NiMH (e.g., Eneloop) batteries, which is the reason I bought it. I imagine it would suffice in an emergency. I only wish they would release a proper USB-compatible battery for these radios.

Greater than one weekItem shows two of the product but you only get one it needs to be listed better and needs a picture that shows only one so you dont expect two. Other than that great product works great.

> 3 dayAfter reading a lot of reviews we decided to go with this one it seems this one doesnt get quite as hot as a lot of the other ones on the market but we dont know yet so hopefully this will work for us We did buy an adapter on Amazon that would plug into the wall which had a problem causing us to mistakenly not know if the battery illuminators were working correctly , We solved that were buying another adapter Works with baofeng 2015 model radio sold here on Amazon 1. Weve used it for several hours on standby and so far it has no heat whatsoever is cold to the touch We will try listening to a weather station and update you later ? 2. We have transmitted with it very little so far doesnt get hot at all Cold to the touch . If anything changes will update

> 3 dayNeeded to replace a couple of batteries on my radios and these are factory fresh and excellent. Very simple to install and charge. These hold the charge very well and i get plenty of talk time out of these. Since my radios are of the same brand they fit very well and look great
