Canon EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 is STM

replaced an older telephoto from film era. lighter weight, good images, no need to relearn operation.

I am very happy with the new lens.

I captured a photo of the moon with a 2x Teleconverter attached.

This is exactly what I wanted. I needed an in between lens and this is perfect.

Ill start this review by saying that Im _VERY_ new to digital photography, and picked up a Canon Rebel T3 in a very aggressively-priced box set about a month ago. The kit came with the standard 15-50mm non-IS lens, and that only left me happy for about two weeks.

I can describe this lens with only one word - Outstanding ..I have 6 lenses from different manufacturers (including Canon) and I am saying outstanding in comparing with all other lenses I have.
