> 3 dayI bought this printer about 3 yrs ago for $30 at Wal-mart, and at the time I thought maybe I should buy a all-in-one instead. But now Im really satisfied with this product. I guess whether the product will continue working is dependent on users using manner. I think Canon has some very good products. I bought a printer for about 3 yrs, a copier for about 2, and both still work properly.

> 3 dayI bought this printer a couple of years ago in college for $30 bucks and it the best one i have ever owned. My parents buy a new fancy one it seems every two years and they always break. This one is simple and reliable.

> 3 dayIf you run out of color ink, it is impossible to use only black ink because it keeps asking to insert the color ink cateridge and refuse to print even though you set it up to use only black cateridge.

> 3 dayI bought this because it was cheaper and easier than to get my broken one of the same model serviced, plus I had a few of the ink cartridges and I didnt want those to go to waste. The printer works as stated and is a great basic printer for anybody. I received the item quickly and with no issues. Great transaction!

> 3 dayNeeded a decent printer after TWO Lexmark Wally World cheapies refused to work after a while. I just wanted to print out my tax returns and stuff. The Canon was easy to use and setup. Just hope the ink cartridges dont dry up. I keep them in a glassine (dope) sealed bag, with a wet piece of paper. Hope this works. OK printer so far....

> 3 dayIve had a HP printer for years. Id replace the ink about once a year, thats with printing a ton of pictures. I went to buy ink for my Canon and commented to the salesman about how quickly the printer ran out of ink. He told me that they are shipped with a partial ink cartridge and a full one would last forever. Well that was Monday, this is Friday and Im out of ink! I printed up around thirty fliers. Thats it. I think Ill go back to HP!

> 3 dayFirst of all, this printer is very professional and sleek looking. It doesnt take up much space at all when its all closed up, and prints reasonably fast for most moderate users. Drivers installed easy, came with great free software, free 4x6 photo paper, and free 4x6 premium photo paper. Best value for the price (Although you can find it at about half the cost at a not-to-be-named superstore)

Greater than one weekVery happy with the Canon Pixma line of printers. Have used many brands over the years and this is a strong choice. Installation is easy and it prints beautifully. Mostly documents but the occasional graphic looks great.

> 3 dayIve mostly used this printer for the last few years of college; alot of text, color powerpoints, etc. but not so much full-size color photos. I agree it is a bit of an ink sucker but I have found you can get quite a bit of mileage from the cartridges after the low warning comes on. I keep a new cartridge handy and dont replace until it physically runs out. The occasional reprint is worth it to me because of how many more jobs I can get out of it that way. Other than that, the printer has held up beautifully to a few years of active use and I have no complaints about style, function, or features. A good overall printer, I think, if youre not photo-heavy and willing to max the cartridge.
