While I am not sure that I would choose this tool to as a compass (one of its stated functions), I do like it very well and a button hole spacer (absent using a Simflex) and measuring device for hems etc. standard, excellent Clover quality. I am pleased with the purchase.

I love this and better yet I got it cheaper than I would have at Nancy s Notions. I love a bargain. The slide bar is slightly grooved so it stays in place. It can be used as a compass to draw circles and again since the slide bar doesnt move it is perfect.

This is a great tool. I am a novice and this has been a great help to me. Very easy to use and I am more confident in my markings now. I wish it was a little stiffer plastic. I can deform the long, thin plastic slide guides when marking along them, but if I am careful it does not seem to be a problem.

This is a pretty cool sewing gadget with a lot of different functions. My only complaint is that it is also VERY flimsy. Most sewing gauges are made of metal, but this one is made of pretty thin plastic, and I doubt that it will last very long. Ultimately, I would probably trade the extra features for something that can stand up to more wear and tear.

What a let-down! Im generally a fan of Nancy and her notions, but this one is not very useful. First, its flimsy plastic. I have to keep it out of the fray when Im sewing just to make sure it isnt cracked. Also, the sliding gauge doesnt stay put, despite the little locking plastic piece that is supposed to hold it. If this was all metal Id love it. Theres a hole inside a rotating disc near the top for drawing circles, but the hole is really small. A needle fits, but not a t-pin, which is what you might want to use with a padded work surface. So, good ideas but cheap materials. Again.

When I ordered this gauge I wasnt sure I would like it. It was so different than the one Id used for years. Now, I dont think Id go back to my older styled one. I prefer the ease and versatility of this sliding gauge.

Bought as a replacement for an old hemmer which broke Can be used for a couple of different things. Easy to use and read Was a little more costly than others that appear to be the same. It had a better rating that is why I bought this one

Still havent figured everything out with this thing, but I purchased it for the measuring part. Love it. Wish there was a metal one so I could iron over it though.

Measuring is probably my least favorite part of sewing. However, this sliding gauge has made it a lot easier to get accurate measurements when cutting fabric with my rotary cutter and mat. I use it along with a clear ruler, and it really helps. The locking feature makes it a lot easier to get accurate measurements. Ive also used a metal ruler with a plastic piece that didnt lock. This one is much better.
