Ive been using on a seam between the roof of our car and the sunroof where water has been seeping in. works well but it doesnt take much driving or sitting in the sun before the edges of the tape start to roll up and we need to put a fresh strip of tape on it. Maybe it wasnt designed for long-term use. That is the only complaint.

Gaffer Tape is mainly used by professionals in the arts and entertainment industry to secure cables and wires to podiums, stages and more. The non reflective surface allows it to blend in with its surroundings instead of standing out and drawing attention to itself. It is very flexible, allowing it to have multiple uses, and it peels off easily without leaving any residue behind or causing any damage to the surface you apply it to. One of the things I like best about Gaffer tape is that you dont need anything to cut it. You simply tear it in strips or however you need it with your hands. I always have the worst time trying to hold tape, scissors and whatever I am working on, while trying to cut off each piece that I need. It is so much more simple to just tear off a strip as I go along, without having to deal with extra tools and steps. I used this to bind cords together to keep them from being a crazy mess behind my computer. I used it to secure the wires for our Halloween decoration so the kids wouldnt trip on them. It works well and it didnt cause any damage to them. I also used it to seal a box that was being shipped to make sure it didnt open before it was supposed to. My daughter used it to build a fort for her to play in and we even used it to tape up a costume that was too long so it didnt drag on the ground. It worked great on all the materials we tried it with and held strong each time. I imagine we will find many more uses for it over time too!

I use a LOT of gaff tape in my field of work and purchase this brand frequently. Its better than most brands. Leaves no residue and the adhesion is very decent. We use it not only for taping to floors, but for many other things. It gets the job done.

The best thing Ive ever ordered off of Amazon. Coming here to repurchase in the same color, hot pink. Ive tried other brands of gaff tape but this is my favorite. I use this for all sorts of stuff, its super handy, and the bright color ensures I never misplace it.

Ill be the first to admit it. I just didnt get it at first. I didnt get this whole infatuation with gaffer tape. What the heck is gaffer tape anyway? Dont compare gaffer tape to duct tape like I did to a gaffer tape believer or youll spend the next 30 minutes of your life listening to how gaffer tape is used to secure all kinds of stuff to all sorts of other kinds of stuff. Dont be surprised if the person telling you this also tries to sneak in that Swiss doctors believe gaffer tape can cure cancer. Oh, and apparently its hand woven by monks that live in an isolated monastery somewhere. At the prodding of my gaffer-tape-friend, I purchased a role. I used it. Sure, it seems like good tape. But I still didnt get the hype. Then, a few days ago I re-watched the movie Snatch--you know, the one where Brad Pitt plays a bare-knuckled boxer-periwinkle-blue-caravan-salesman--and a light bulb went on in my head. I totally get gaffer tape now.....but its named the wrong thing. Gaffer tape should be called Gypsy tape! The whole point of this tape is to hold things in place for just a little while, and then be removed with no trace--just like a band of roving gypsies. Anyway, I try to use my gypsy tape as often as I can. If I find myself reaching for a roll of duct tape, I stop and ask myself if gypsy tape would be better. Im trying real hard to be a convert....Im just not there yet. Maybe its because I didnt go to film school or play the guitar. ####UPDATE 11/17/2016#### So I finally had a need to use gypsy tape where duct tape was not the best choice. I lost (well, maybe my kids lost it) the battery cover for my TV remote and I was going crazy having the batteries fall out all the time. I had used a piece of duct tape (at least it was black tape so it sort of blended with the color of the remote) but it left gooey stickiness behind. After cleaning it up, I applied some Gaffer tape and its been great! No messy, sticky residue left behind.

The last brand I had felt cheap and didnt adhere quite so well. This brand feels much more ruggedly built and has better adhesion. Id say it was worth the slight extra cost. Ill be ordering this brand from now on.

I got this to cover a place on my couch that the cats had clawed. Unfortunately it wouldnt stick to the nappy material. But the color was perfect. We attached it with clear twist pins. Not perfect but lots better than it was.

I used this to facilitate rigging connection protection on the spreaders of my sailboat mast. I have not attempted to remove it yet so I cannot attest to removal, but it seems to adhere to clean aluminum just fine. I will update when I have more information. It shipped rapidly, the tape is of high quality, and it does what it is supposed to in context with the use I had for it, that of ensuring that the rigging wires of my sailboat stay put in the ends of the mast spreaders. I used boots to hold the wires, and this tape keeps those boots closed. I have seen masts where people used the tape alone to hold the wires, but I have not attempted that because I did not like the appearance of such efforts. To each his own I guess. This tape will likely enable that operation in as functional a way as using the boots first and just taping the boots in place..
