I use a good amount of gaff tape so to save money I have tried the cheaper brands and I keep coming back to this Real USA Pro Gaff tape. It’s strong tape and the adhesive is not weak like some other and née as it should be and doesn’t leave behind any residue either. I think the quality of the tape and the fact it does what it should, and doesn’t what it should not; it’s good tape for money if you use a lot as I do!

Executive Summary: If youre looking for true professional gaffer tape (matte finish, temporary fixture like cables on a set, easy removal, no adhesive residue), this is the right stuff. If youre looking for an inexpensive alternative to consumer duct tape, this isnt it. There are a LOT of places to get the wrong stuff - your average hardware store, big boxes like Home Depot and the like. Most consumer retail will sell a 2 black tape that can be useful for assorted uses and applications - but it wont perform like actual gaffer tape. Im a professional musician. I gig several times a week. Often on stage and on a set, cables need to be secured in traffic areas, or on a keyboard stand for aesthetic appearance (nothing screams NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL like a rats nest of cabling in clear sight of the audience). And true gaffer tape is also useful for neatly taping over huge logos on the back of keyboard gear - useful on television, in church, in any non-endorsement environment. For all these uses and more, stage pros use gaffer tape - stays securing in place when you need it, removes fast and easy when its time to break down, and no horrible sticky glue residue on your precious gear. If you need the real stuff, you know who you are. This is actual gaffer tape. If you dont think you need this stuff, there are lots of other alternatives out there. But you might still want to try gaffer tape - its a quality pro product. NOTE: I bought this stuff myself for full price right here on Amazon. I didnt receive a discount, a review sample, or any other incentive to write a review (like SO many useless, bought reviews now on Amazon). I used this graffen tape to make a custom insert for my copy of the board game Wingspan using cardboard. I saw it recommended online and decided to try it out. I never used graffen tape, but I liked that it was easy to use and mold. It was stickier than I was expecting, but it comes off nicely off from the table and the non-adhesive side of the graffen tape, allowing me to reposition pieces. It did NOT come off nicely off the cardboard itself and a few times I ripped off layers of the cardboard. If the adhesives side meets another adhesive side...all is lost. I also used it for covering a cut on the card table I use and it is satisfying to know there isnt going to be gunk left over from the duct tape. I liked the way it felt and it worked well for my purposes. I did consider the Amazon brand but chose this one instead and Im satisfied with the results.

A super high quality gaffers tape thats very handy for a myriad of applications. Its a tad pricey but you certainly get what you pay for. I did an informal residue test on a chair that has a tear on the vinyl armrest. After carefully removing the tape, there was no trace of adhesive (even after a two months). Since this is a high traffic area of the chair, there was some peeling from the constant hand and body contact but I only applied one layer. Ill put more layers or perhaps wrap the affected area with a few layers. I didnt initially want to do this as it would make it look like a bandaged anime character! But I think its going to be the best method to ensure the torn area is not exposed again going forward.

This is like the Post-it notes for serious tape users. It holds really well... And releases from the surface and the item secured (but not fragile substrates like paper or thin plastic). It has very specific properties that allow you to quickly bind something to a surface, and then easily remove the tape leaving no residue (most of the time). The adhesive is water based, and is therefore water soluble, so it is not for wet environments. I detail cars, and use it to hold seat belts out of the way, and to temporarily hold padding in place on high end cars. Also works to hold up sun visors in older cars that have lost their ability to stay up.

I am a DD I try to use this for a strapless dress. It ended up rolled up under my breast. Makes movement difficult no dancing in this did not meet my expectations. Cannot recommend this product.

I can confirm that this is a quality tape. Does not leave residue Real fabric feel Removes easily when needed Wheres well to many surfaces. I mostly use this tape for securing power cables and microphone cables to reduce the risk of tripping hazard

The best thing Ive ever ordered off of Amazon. Coming here to repurchase in the same color, hot pink. Ive tried other brands of gaff tape but this is my favorite. I use this for all sorts of stuff, its super handy, and the bright color ensures I never misplace it.
