I had high hopes for this but it took me forever to install since one of the sides would not loosen enough for the wires to be placed through. It took a dozen attempts and different people to try to finally make it work. Once in, I set it up but realized once you plug in a USB, you can use up to one of the regular plugs but you cannot use the second plug since there is no space from the USB being in use and taking up space. I bought this to use my Alexa with but Alexa will turn off all but the USB so it defeated my purpose. I wish I could return it.

Great product, easy to install

I needed a smart plug but did not have room behind a dresser. In searching for a plug that would plug in from either the side top or bottom I came across this plug. I thought I would try it. Well first it is so easy to install, it installs just like a normal receptacle. After loading the geenie app I tied it into my network and the plugs just worked. All I had to do was to link it to my Alexa app which was very straightforward and presto the thing worked. You can actually control each plug individually. Super but I need to see if there is a way to just have a way to control both at the same time.

Work as advertised and easy to install.

It works, but when I put the wires in the back of the outlet to wire it up the screw head broke off as I was tightening it, and the threading on the second screw stripped as I was tightening it as well. (I wasn’t putting a lot of pressure on it when it broke).

This is exactly what I was looking for. Make the outlets smart and less money on the light bulbs, etc.

Easy to use and install just usps destroyed the box

The outlets have bad hardware. The small screws provided to attach the plate to the chassis are too large for the threaded hole and do not fit (see image). The screw-actuated pressure fittings for inserting the black live wire and the white wire are also difficult to use and in one case I was not able to insert the white wire because the screw would become stuck. Product number: GN-WW116-199. Zebra code: 4470208972. I called their customer service, who politely gave me two options: find the right screws at my hardware store, or send it back to them, but I would have to pay shipment. Worse electrical product I have bought in the past 20 years.

Set up of outlets with the app was a bit tedious, but they work great otherwise.

I never thought that Id use smart anything devices. However, I started using wifi plugs for security. Some allow random on/off and others just offer scheduled times. I decided to give these wifi outlets a try. They work, but Ive been having problems getting them to sync with my network, but Im hoping that it is only because they are a bit further away from my extender. Ill keep experimenting when the temperature is better.
