> 24 hourI love the crisp and clear sound. All thumbs up. I have a 7 also but the 4 is superior to me. Great purchase!

> 24 hourI had a Harmon/Kardon Onyx 2 for about five years and loved it. Eventually the battery faded to the point that I had to leave the speaker plugged in all the time. I decided to upgrade to the Onyx 4 and liked the new design and smaller size. I did a sound test by switching bluetooth connectivity back and forth between the two speakers during a song and the Onyx 2 had FAR superior sound quality. There was a depth and richness to the low and mid tones that the Onyx 4 was lacking. The Onyx 4 was a little louder, but was flatter and more metallic (this is all with EQ off, which is my preferred setting for music). Ill likely return the Onyx 4 and keep searching for another Onyx 2 even though theyre hard to find. Im just disappointed that HK sacrificed sound quality on the newer speaker

> 24 hourI have multiples and they’re great! I use them at home and work. Being able to link them is great for having music all around without having it blasting from one side of a room or area. Only down side is having the speakers on peoples Bluetooth lists. It confuses the speakers as people move about with their Bluetooth on but it’s easily fixed by shutting them off or dropping it from the list.

> 24 hourI got this for my birthday recently after shopping for it myself and telling my wife I wanted it. The sound is good but less high fidelity than I was expecting based on reading a number of the 5 star Amazon reviews. The bass is good for a speaker its size but the midrange and highs dont blow me away. I think the mids and highs from my daughters JBL Charge 3 are better while the Charge and Onyx are similarly priced. This seems about on par in the mids and highs with my Amazon Alexa first generation though the bass on the Onyx is clearly better. The Onyx arent terrible by any means but just not what I was expecting. It connects easily to my Android phones Bluetooth and the battery lasts so far for the advertised 8 hours. Ive answered a couple phone calls through it without a problem as well.

> 24 hourthis thing has boom. i bought like 8 portable bluetooth speakers to test out. i was looking a portability, loudness, and bass. this is a solid choice for anyone looking for bass. i tried the onyx studio 3 and it had no high end. seems like they fixed that issue with the 4 and turned the bass up. this has some solid bass rumble. i felt a good bass massage as the speaker worked its magic. i ultimately chose to go with the jbl xtreme and big blue party speakers. the jbl fits on my motorcycle handlebars and the big blue party has 360 sound with waterproofing and only slightly less bass. i definitely recommend this for someone in like a dorm room or something like that. only downside is i didnt see any waterproof information, so i wouldnt get it wet. i really liked the way the bass felt good right out the box.

> 24 hourWhen I first read all of the positive reviews, I found them a little hard to believe regarding how good this speaker sounded vs. how much the speaker cost. Im a big fan of the Bose sound, but I thought what the heck - the price is great so Ill give the speaker a try, and Im glad I did. Ive had this speaker since February and I absolutely love the sound quality. At first, compared to Bose, I thought it sounded very...open and non-room-filling, like the sound fell flat a foot from the speaker when testing in my open-concept living room/dining room (a big joined room). When I moved the speaker into a smaller room - my office - I thought it sounded much more...complete and full. Over time, Ive gotten used to the open sound of this guy vs. my Bose SoundTouch, and overall the sound great IMO - crystal clear, no distortion at higher volumes, solid bass and clear highs and mids. For the price, its darn impressive! I replaced my Bose SoundTouch 10 with this speaker in my bedroom. My only quibble is the power cord - the AC cord keeps falling out of the convertor block. I finally tossed some duct tape on it. Definitely recommend this speaker, huge sound quality bang for your buck!

> 24 hourThe sound is incredible compared to less expensive Bose I previously purchased. Perfect for my great room, where it will always reside. I dont have a need to take it outside. I am leaving it plugged in to wall socket. Looks nice in a corner of my kitchen counter, sitting on top of my small radio - which is elevated. This corner is far enough removed from sink and splashes but elevated just in case:) It appears I ordered just in time, too, as price has increased by $30! I am pleased.
