If you own or owned a conure, you know they really like to bathe. Ours like to dip in her drinking water cup about every two days. She becomes totally soaked almost to the point of not being able to fly. After her bath, she immediately cuddles up to the warmer until she dries.

My green cheek sleeps snuggled next to this every single night. This is one of the best things I have bought for him. He’s out all day with me and I feel better knowing he’s not cold without anyone to snuggle at night when he has to be in his cage. It feels very solidly made and has a cover over the wire to the plug. It also doesn’t put out enough heat to worry about it burning them. If you hold your hand on it, it just feels warm and never gets uncomfortable. It’s basically like them being able to snuggle up to another birds warm body.

The main cord to the unit is great but they cheaped out and the additional flimsy cord that actually goes to an outlet is outrageous to be used in a room with birds. one bite and it is an extreme electrical hazard. Ive tried to make a cord cover to compensate. There do not seem to be similar products on the market. Birds really do appear to like it.

Purchase this for my sons parakeet Twitter it fit the bars on the cage just right at the end of his perch it’s not too hot to hurt him and he usually sleeps next to it

I have this heater for my Jenday Conure. She loves it and snuggles up against it to sleep in the winter. During the day she is always with me, so I only turn it on at night for 12 hours. It doesn’t get too hot.

It worked well for the first seven months or so and now at nine months it’s barely lukewarm. It’s November and my African Grey is getting cold. I need to find a better product. Update: I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it’s working again. Very warm to the touch now. Whew!
