> 3 dayTool is pretty good, BUT... it drains batteries when off. This is called parasitic drain. Bad, bad design.

Greater than one weekIt’s really touchy. I have to literally have the point ON whatever I’m trying to get a reading on.

Greater than one weekThis is pretty neat you hold it up to lines with power, if it lights up you die. If it doesnt there is a chance you wont die.

> 3 dayKlein products are great. I really like this tester. Some as does it work on DC current. The answer is right now there isn’t a non contact tester that can test for DC current. Very good quality and I imagine someone will inherit this when I’m long gone.

> 3 dayI decided to give this NCV tester a try and after several false reading’s I wouldn’t recommend it. When set to the 70-1000v setting it’ll constantly pick up voltage well under this, making it pretty pointless. This was verified via a multimeter. Try the more basic NCVT-3. It seems to be more accurate and simple to use.

> 3 dayIts pretty accurate, and has a flashlight. I like Klein tools, but dont buy this because it is set apart from all the other testers out there. I think it is no step above all the others, its just a different color and name. They all seem the exact same, except some dont have a flashlight.

> 3 dayIf youre ever in doubt wether something is hot or not you cannot go wrong with using this tester. It could literally save your life. Its quick and easy to use. Has a pretty great flashlight on it aswell. I do not work on any eletric without this thing. Great design compact and durable. Dont risk your life without one of these bad boys you wont regret it.

Greater than one weekIve had 2 of these and they give me false positives all of the time, even on the 70-1000V range. I just cant trust it.
