does what it is designed to do but eats batteries quick

Put the batteries that came with it in and it was DOA. Tested the 1.5V batteries and they were both over 1.6V so it wasnt the batteries. The unit itself was just dead and wouldnt turn on. Im surprised because this is supposed to be the reputable brand but apparently their quality control isnt that great.

When figuring out a electrical issues. It kept me safe

super easy to use, nice to have the built in flash light. Seems accurate and great for checking before working on a circuit. We just got a new house and i grabbed this for fast testing on unknown wiring. Worked on picking up voltage on a door bell which is low, still detected it though.

I bought the kit, and this was the only item that didnt work. Amazon sent me another and that one didnt worked. They did refund me for this item. Big disappointment

replaced this item once and get the same item from the seller. Problem is it doesnt make audible sound when touching the live voltage it only show red light. but i am keeping this product now and not replacing again because i need it urgently because my project has already started. seller should change the description on amazon.
