Greater than one weekSolid, quality item. Not my first Master locking cable, and have always been great this one no different. Nice thick plastic coating on the outside with enough braided steel to deter people. Im sure it could be cut in a few minutes, but at least will deter most looking for a quick grab. Plan on using to lock up my quads while camping.

10-04-2025Good for the price. Im using it to lock up a boat at a reservoir and it works fine. Plenty long enough to lock onto a tree. Also heavy enough to deter someone from stealing the boat unless they really want to, in which case no heavier cable is going to deter them, they will cut through anything if they really want to. I dont find very many steal small rowboats around here, its way too much trouble for very little gain. They are far more likely to smash a boat in which case a lock and cable wouldnt stop them.

10-04-2025Being a photographer/storm chaser, I sometimes have to leave my gear (several thousand dollars worth) in the vehicle when I dont really want to. While everything is insured, Id rather not come back to find it smash and grabbed and have to deal with replacing it. So this year I bought Pelican cases (which are super strong) and this cable, as well as a couple of locks. This this is really thick! What I do is run this cable down around the factory seat mounts (these are made to withstand crash forces) and then put the ends into the locks I put on the Pelican cases. Sure, if someone had enough time and could make enough noise, they could probably eventually either cut the cable, the locks or the lock place on the cases. But the intent here is to prevent any smash and grabs when I HAVE to leave the gear in when I go in a store or something. I think this will work perfectly for that scenario, and give me some peace of mind. Its all about making it harder for someone to grab your stuff, so they move on to the next car.

> 3 daySo far so good, I use this one when my shorter cable will not work. It allows me to go through my whole bike front and back tires, I feel this is a really good lock.

> 3 dayloops are much larger than anticipated so had to get an extra lock or two for that but overall, sturdy, and durable, has come in handy to keep gear locked up in the bed of my truck

> 3 dayPurchased this cable to lock my row boat to the dock in order to keep the kids from taking the boat out. It is just the right length for my purposes and because it is covered in plastic, it will handle the outside elements for years.

Greater than one weekThis is just a simple braided cable so there isnt much to describe, but it is well assembled and looks professionally made. We are using it as a poor mans cable lock in the back of a pick-up truck rather than pay the dealer a few hundred dollars for the same thing. For that, it works perfectly and coils up nicely under the seat when not being used. The plastic wrap around the cable makes it much nicer than bare cable. It was a good deal from amazon.
