This is my second set of Meross smart plugs - and Ive yet to be disappointed. The app is required to initially set them up, and I believe you need to enable to Meross skill via the Alexa app, but once youve taken care of downloading the Meross app and enabling the skill, there really is nothing to adding these outlets to your network. Plug them in, open the app, click the + icon, and it will immediately show all of the new outlets that youve plugged in. Simply name them and select the network to which you want them to connect, and the app does the rest. It will connect the switch to your network, and as soon as that happens, Alexa will recognize that youve got a new smart plug to control. Ask Alexa to turn them on or off (if you named them desk light for example, all you need to do is say Alexa, turn on the desk light), and youre good to go. I havent had any issues at all with any of my Meross outlets.

I replaced a Gosund smart outlet with this one because it supports both Google Home and Apple HomeKit. I use it to power an amplifier in my basement that runs my outdoor speakers. When I’m out by the pool I have access to Siri on my phone, but not a Google mini. Now I can turn on the amp and send music to the amp (via Airplay with a different device) all from Siri. Because it also supports Google home, I can control it even when my phone isn’t handy. Best of both worlds.

SO EASY TO SET UP! I have had some issues with other Homekit products (and by issue, I simply have to enter the code instead of scan) but all of the Meross products I got up and running in about 3 minutes! I have them hooked to my Alexa too and they work PERFECT! Great for routines/automatons when coming home. Even use them with IFTTT for some more advanced scripts.

I think its fair to include my original review below. However, my issues have since been resolved. I will give 4 stars because now that all the devices are working, they do the job exactly as expected. It should be noted that I left my previous review after multiple weeks of repeated troubleshooting, using multiple devices. The one that did set up correctly was set up weirdly and not according to the simple setup instructions. The other two would not configure through the Home app no matter how I tried. After completely giving up, weeks later, I finally received a reply from Meross Support via email. The reply offered absolutely no additional insight and simply re-iterated troubleshooting steps Id already tried. Nevertheless, I decided to try setup again, as theyd asked for a screen recording of the process to aid in troubleshooting. This time, however, both devices which could not be setup previously completed setup through the Home app simply and flawlessly. Literally, the only thing that has changed is that time has passed. But... as things stand, theyre now working as advertised and I no longer need to troubleshoot these. Original review: I purchased this three pack and have only been able to set up one of them. Even that one was tricky, but it behaved differently than the other two. None of them would set up in the Home app initially. Every time, Home fails to add them. For the one that worked, I was able to join my phone to the devices’s WiFi network and set up through the Meross app. Once in the Meross app, it set up through the Home app just fine. The other two force setup through the Home app only and will not complete set up no matter how I try. I have used multiple devices, with different versions of iOS to try this. THEN I reached out to Meross support. TWICE. NO ANSWER. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE THE INITIAL REQUEST. I will never, ever purchase from Meross again. AVOID this company.

Bought three originally to automate the Christmas trees. Now using for first floor lights. Recently bought another three for upstairs. What can I say they just work. Had to update my old router to a mesh system as I have 21 smart devices in my hone now.

This is my first smart plug and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to setup and use with my iPhone and Homekit. Didt even need to look at the directions. Does exactly what I wanted which was to control some fans we have in our rooms.

Ive tried a ton of different HomeKit plugs for automating different things throughout the house and these have been the most reliable Ive found, and theyre also the least expensive. Quick and easy to setup and sync, Meross is actually intelligent enough to put the HomeKit code in a location where it can actually be scanned while plugged in for setup. Im shocked how many companies try to hide the code and end up putting it so its not visible for setup. Save some money, get these, skip the more expensive stuff. The only more reliable IoT products Ive found are Philips Hue bulbs, but theyre super pricey and the product line is pretty much all lighting.

I scanned in the code on the top of the plug, waited for the WiFi connection, named the plug on my HomeKit App, and now I am using Siri to turn on and off my lamp...I love it!

I had one go bad from a previous purchase on a Sunday and had a replacement on Friday after a couple of days trying different things. Kudos for great customer service and standing by their product

Overall fine, but one of the plugs didnt work at all, no matter what I tried.
