Meta Portal TV - Big Screen Smart Video Calling for Group Calls on Your TV

The Facebook Portal is one of those devices youll either love or just have no use for at all. I was first introduced to it two years ago when I ordered the first Facebook Portal Plus. I have it set up in my kitchen/living room area have found there are ways to actually watch TV on this, other than just the handful of apps. Theres an integrated web browser that does support video. So you can go to and log into any site where you watch shows (i.e. YouTube), and watch them from the web browser. I love this for playing music all day in the house when Im working. I can watch cooking shows while Im making meals, etc. Plus theres the Alexa built in, so when my packages are dropped off I get a chime notification on my Portal and itll even give me a little preview of what arrived. And then of course theres the feature of being able to video call people.

Really good for reading stories to grandkids. Looking up recipes & using Alexa. Downside, cant add any additional apps.

I love the video calling. My daughter and other family members have a 2 year old Portal and she said my new one had a much sharper video. It is in a more slimline photo frame that can be set on the table vertically or horizontally that. The old one.

Revised - must be plugged directly into tv hdmi port 1 to work, no idea why as all other devices dont care and all ports on this tv are the same spec but thats what fixed it. No source switches or couplers in line making it hard to use on a more complex av system.

I was really excited to make calls via Teams, Zoom and WhatsApp, however, I found that the Teams app pre-installed its only for business accounts. I got this device for personal, mostly to connect with my family in other countries and its no way to download the Teams for personal use or any other app that you may use. For example, the device is Alexa compatible, but you cant find the Amazon music app, only through Alexa... not sure if I should keep it since assistant works well and screen is good, but doesnt fill my objective

Product was perfect.

You can not use as multiple speakers with the rest of your echo devices.

Needs better more simply instructions.

Love this! A true Godsend during COVID especially. Of course, its not the same as in person but its absolutely the next best thing! Keeps families and friends in touch and up to date!

This product sucks in so many ways. If I were Facebook I would be embarrassed. The sound cuts out constantly. It changes the input to itself whenever it feels like it. It wont ever really turn off and continually uses the wifi. In sum, do not buy this product under any circumstances.
