So far works like a charm! Tech support was great and prompt. Had trouble pairing, but they told me to use the classic app first to pair it, then used the new app after that with no problems.

I love the use of voice technology, my wife is more old school. This fits the bill with easy to add to smart things, and has the manual button. If you need automation outside, that isnt permanent, and the ability to manually override, this the tool for the job.

Connects easily to ADT security system via Z wave. I set it up with ADT’s automation features so my exterior deck lights operate automatically.

I bought this for use outside to control a water fountain. It paired easily with my zwave hub and works with no issue.

Im on my second one of these Eva Logic 2 Channel Z-Wave Smart Plug...and unfortunately these are the dummest smart plugs out there. Neither of the two that I purchased can be added to my SmartThings hub. When trying to add them...either via their product name (which is an available option), or scanning nearby, they are not found by the SmartThings app. Ive tried it a million times...tried the factory reset (press the power button twice, then hold), rebooted the hub, rebooted my phone...no dice no matter what I try. I contacted Eva Logik support, and although they responded very quickly (which was great), their first reply was sending me a link to the video on how to pair the device (which was no no help, of course, since I had already tried every option available. They offered to replace the device, but figuring they wouldnt be as quick as Amazon, I just did a replacement order. As noted earlier, the replacement acted the same way as the original one...its basically a brick. Now its on to try to find a similar device from an alternate manufacturer...that will actually work. I would suggest that you dont waste your time on trying this...Im a week and a half in, and back to square one. Note: I have an extensive SmartHome device collection, running a large number of items in my house, so suffice to say, it isnt operator error.

I purchased this item because I needed the 2 channels. I wanted to be able to control the lights differently from the water flow in the foundation. I had a difficult time initially getting SmartThings to recognize the 2 channels, so I reached out to their support. EVA LOGIK got back to me with a suggestion and a video to help get it connected, it did the trick and now I am using it as indented.

I consider myself pretty good at smart home devices and have added dozens of device to Samsung Smartthings (SS) with no problems. But, for the life of me I could not get both of the outlets to show in SS. The second outlet was worthless when setting up my Christmas lights.

As mentioned by others, to whom I should have listened, these units (I have two) randomly stop participating in the network, and cannot be found. Even when theyre five feet away from the hub. Powering them off and back on via the external button sometimes wakes them back up and the hub can find them again. Which totally kills their utility as outdoor remote devices. Weather-proof-wise, the connections arent enclosed when in use, and therefore are subject to rain/ice risks. I can live with that, but the terrible z-wave behavior makes them unsuited for any important task.

I had this paired with a Wink hub originally and now have gone to a combination Google Home and Samsung Smart things home. Had to reset it, which their support showed me how to do. I cant for the life of me get it in pairing mode. I have paired many devices and cant get this one to work. Support is not helpful. The video is not helpful either. It would be great to get a real person on the phone that could help. If you can get it to work then it works well, its when you have issues that it falls apart. They keep referring me to my original instructions which are long gone.
