I disliked the need for a hue bridge but liked the product overall

integrated well with my cortana and worked great

The color is changeable. However, the light is not very bright.

I love it and want every bulb I have to match.

I never understood how these bulbs are used since the light switch needs to be on. I understand these bulbs are mainly for their colors but feels like an expensive way if you just want some automated lighting. It is better to just get a smart wall switch if you dont need colors. For colors, I would probably go with Hues other products. This is until I needed to leave the switch on my patio light after installing a Ring floodlight cam and there wasnt a good way to decouple the other light coupled to the switch. The light bulb literally turned on in my head and went for the Philips Hue! The switch is always on and I can use automation to turn on the other light! These lights are brilliant if your application fits! They are bright and colorful and if you are in range very easy to control and deal with. However, with my patio application, it was way beyond range and I learned they use other bulbs to communicate with each other. Again no good if those other lights can be switched off. Also caution with Lutron dimmer switches with these bulbs since I dont think they work well together. I would say if your use fits the always on case and you can catch these on sales, go for it. Else look into a smart switch.

The update process needs to be improved if Philips wants to maintain superiority.

I had owned a generic brand Smart light system because I did not want to pay the Phillips Hue price tag. Honestly, that was such a mistake and waste of money. I saw the Phillip Hues for a deal so i decided to see what the hype was about. Whelp, I can totally see why they are the best in the business for these lights. First off, biggest notice, the installation. Super easy!!!! The central port system ease the whole set up. My prior generic brand one was such a pain! The Phillip app is incredibly easy to use. Tons of great setting options including setting your own. Works with Alexa and Apple Home with no issues. If you need a Smart light system, take it from me and go with Phillip Hue. It might be 5x the price, but it is so worth it!
