I thought the hub was DOA because I couldnt get it working on my router. The app would find the hub, but not connect in the next step. I tried android and IOS to no avail. I turned off all features, filters and firewalls, but nothing worked. I happen to have a backup Netgear router that I tried as a last ditch effort. Works great with the Netgear router. App found the hub and was able to get everything working... After the updates, I tried switching back, but it didnt work with updates either, so back to the older router. -1 star for compatibility -1 star for having to physically plug it into the router in 2020

After my amazon smart-plug repeatedly dropped off the wifi and forgot its own settings multiple times (always a few months apart), I decided to go with this as an alternative for programmable lights. What a huge difference! I had all three lights set up on the app within minutes, which itself is easy to use. The ability to dim the lights at any time (without a physical dimmer switch) is fantastic! There are a lot of other things I can do with the app, apparently, but I havent fully delved into all the fancy stuff yet. Overall, Im very happy!

Hue is still the best in the business.

I use these all over my house. Every room I walk into has automatic lights, and changing the brightness/color of these lights is really advantageous for me. My only complaint is that I wish they could come down in price, but since there’s nothing to compete with these, I‘ll bite the bullet. They last a very long time and work wonderfully!

Phillips hue is expensive but I find it worth it. If you already have smart speakers that can control these they’re perfect for you. They are bright and always respond to commands. Being able to dim the lights without having a dimmer switch is a nice feature to have at night while watching tv. The other features in the app I don’t really use but all I need is the ability to turn them on, off, and dim.

Tell Amazon u have a defective product and they will send y a FREE replacement (sometimes) I got 2 of these for 99$ Hells ya thank you Amazon

So I bought this on amazon prime day along with a remote so I could have that convenience as well. I can dim it on my phone , with my voice, great! You MUST hardwire the hub to your modem and it can not connect with the lights . It’s taken days, calls to Phillips ect to get the app to FINALLY download and now it can’t connect (I don’t know about you all but my modem is not in the living room). The remote batteries died last week (3 weeks after getting them). I’m a hundred fifty bucks in to lights that don’t work. I’ve got a 3 Walmart bulbs in my can lights that work on an app seamlessly that I control with my phone and they were 10 bucks a piece! Ridiculous

Great set up BTW Hue and Bridge are the same thing. Hope this clears up some confusion.

Weve had this Philips Hue system for about a month, and so far its been great. Installation was fairly simple, and the Philips app to use on your phone is very user friendly. You can turn lights on and off, dim them, set a timer or even enable them to come on when its sunset and turn off at sunrise. One thing you have to be sure to do though is enable the offline mode if you want to control the lights when youre not home- the directions arent super clear about that part. Overall, I would recommend this product.
