If you liked Ultra Sun/Moon then you will definitely like this. As long-time players of Pokemon know, this is not a completely revolutionary game but rather an extension/rework of the previous game (Ultra Moon). Thus it serves more as an upgrade/what Ultra Moon should have been, but it is still fun nonetheless. Im still playing on my original 3DS and, like in Ultra Moon, the battles and cutscenes tend to lag a bunch. Double battles are extremely painful to sit through (it might be time for me to upgrade my DS).

This is honestly one of my least favorite pokemon games and there are many reasons why. This game is an addition to moon and sun its not a sequel like it looked like it would be. Many of the things I did not enjoy from the first game is still there; like the slow story, the training wheels being there the entire game, long pointless cut-scenes that dont help the story progress, etc. Even with some additions its pointless like the ultra recon characters they added honestly nothing good to the game. There were no major changes in this game and to begin with pokemon moon and sun for me personally was hard to finish. This game feels like a cheap dlc that was rushed. Im just sad because I love the pokemon franchise and have played every game and every spin-off this game just didnt feel good to me.

Came as advertised. I myself wasn’t so sure about getting it cause it’s still a second installment to the Gen, but it’s still worth it regardless. The BP point addition while surfing is excellent though, and I do love finding other legendaries from other generations.

Compared to Sun/Moon, ULTRA Sun and Moon offers some differences. This can include new characters, more pokemon, a photo club (basically take pictures of your character and one pokemon, and you can do poses and add stickers, etc.), and more. There are also some differences in story, as well as added extras that can be unlocked after different points (story extras). Id have to give it a 10/10.

So much better than the first in the series. I also love that at the beginning there are more varieties of pokemon available compared to the first. I love the little interactions with various pokemon and the multiple side quests that the game provides. It really makes the series more fleshed out.

It’s Pokemon! What is there to say? Amazing game though. My boyfriend and I both play Ultra Moon and Sun together and have a great time. The ‘multiplayer’ is a bit confusing though is all I have to say.

Honestly, this is not a bad game. However, compared to all of the previous generations, especially X and Y, this game felt too different and dumbed down. It actually felt like a kids game, but not in the way previous generations had only kept in mind. Then again, maybe I am finally getting too old for these.
