Greater than one weekI highly recommend this game to all Pokemon gamers veteran and new! Having already played and beaten Pokémon moon, I purchased ultra moon to compare the differences. The plot line is slightly different from the regular moon. Plus there are new activities, side quests, and Pokémon to catch like the original starters bulbasaur, squirtle, and charmander!

Greater than one weekPokémon Ultra Moon very quickly became my favorite installment in the series. I waited a bit to jump on and play this entry but it was well worth it. The savings vs in-store was great too. Player since Generation 1.

> 3 dayThis is honestly just kind of lazy in design. With few exceptions, if youve played Pokemon Sun and Moon, youve played this one. Some people have different pokemon and they change a few locations marginally, added a mini-game, but the only real improvement is that there are far more pokemon available to catch. The story is changed very little, but what few changes there are ruins the story. The only worthwhile content comes in the endgame when some old faces from previous games return, and it is over way too fast. Im glad it didnt cost as much as Pokemon Sun and Moon, but honestly this should have been $30 tops at release for how copy and paste the game is. Only hardcore collectors or people that skipped the previous games should buy this, Im regretting my own purchase.

> 3 dayIf you liked Ultra Sun/Moon then you will definitely like this. As long-time players of Pokemon know, this is not a completely revolutionary game but rather an extension/rework of the previous game (Ultra Moon). Thus it serves more as an upgrade/what Ultra Moon should have been, but it is still fun nonetheless. Im still playing on my original 3DS and, like in Ultra Moon, the battles and cutscenes tend to lag a bunch. Double battles are extremely painful to sit through (it might be time for me to upgrade my DS).

> 3 dayIts a very good game, but so far it seems very, very similar to Sun and Moon with little to no changes. Thats really my only complaint so far, but Im sure thatll change the later on in the game you get.

> 3 daySo much better than the first in the series. I also love that at the beginning there are more varieties of pokemon available compared to the first. I love the little interactions with various pokemon and the multiple side quests that the game provides. It really makes the series more fleshed out.

> 3 dayI played through the game expecting only a few minor changes from the original Sun/Moon, like the types of Pokemon you can encounter. What I didnt expect was a bunch of changes to the story and post-game story, as well as new minigames. The characterization of your NPC friends is done much better in this game as well, which makes playing through the story more enjoyable than the first. Its definitely worth picking up if you enjoyed the original SuMo.

Greater than one weekI did technically pre order this but on Thursday night, so I knew it wouldnt arrive for me on Friday but I got it on Monday! Ive only played a little but I am enjoying it. Moon was actually my first real Pokemon game (I know Im super late) and I loved it. I had wanted to play it over again but didnt want to erase my game or completed pokedex so I was thrilled when I heard about this coming out and how similar it would be. So no complaints from me.

> 3 dayWay too many cutscenes and similar content to sun and moon. This is definitely for players that havent already gotten the new generation games. Does have a lot of added pokemon though in the later gameplay and is also slightly more difficult to beat.

17-04-2025Delightful game! I feel transported to Alola when I play. I always play Pokemon games many times through, and this remake makes it even more fun than usual to play through the Alola region again. I chose Ultra Moon this time, and had played Sun last year. I think Im spending even more time playing this version through!
