> 3 dayFirst Pokemon game since Pearl. Very fun. Has enough old Pokemon I can still follow everything and a nice mix of fresh new content. I cannot speak to the improvement over sun/moon however as I did not play them.

> 3 dayDidnt know this was just a re-hash of the most recent games when I got it. The extra content is basically just like a DLC pack. I just bought it without checking anything so thats definitely on me. Still, isnt it a bit soon for a remake? Its still my favorite in the series so far, so I wont mind playing it, but Im not looking forward to it as much as I would if it were a true sequel.

16-04-2025This is honestly just kind of lazy in design. With few exceptions, if youve played Pokemon Sun and Moon, youve played this one. Some people have different pokemon and they change a few locations marginally, added a mini-game, but the only real improvement is that there are far more pokemon available to catch. The story is changed very little, but what few changes there are ruins the story. The only worthwhile content comes in the endgame when some old faces from previous games return, and it is over way too fast. Im glad it didnt cost as much as Pokemon Sun and Moon, but honestly this should have been $30 tops at release for how copy and paste the game is. Only hardcore collectors or people that skipped the previous games should buy this, Im regretting my own purchase.

> 3 dayI love pokemon been playing it for years. This is my least favorite of them all. I really dislike the camera angles, trying to make it a 3d world. I rather have a view from above angle like the older games even if it was a mix like X and Y. Its so disorienting. Also not a huge fan of the Hawaiian theme. Its too cutesy for my tastes. I also dont like the island challenges vs calling them gym leaders. I do love the starter pokemon and I do like the changing outfits thing and the battles are great with animations. 3 stars.

> 3 dayCompared to Sun/Moon, ULTRA Sun and Moon offers some differences. This can include new characters, more pokemon, a photo club (basically take pictures of your character and one pokemon, and you can do poses and add stickers, etc.), and more. There are also some differences in story, as well as added extras that can be unlocked after different points (story extras). Id have to give it a 10/10.

> 3 dayI did technically pre order this but on Thursday night, so I knew it wouldnt arrive for me on Friday but I got it on Monday! Ive only played a little but I am enjoying it. Moon was actually my first real Pokemon game (I know Im super late) and I loved it. I had wanted to play it over again but didnt want to erase my game or completed pokedex so I was thrilled when I heard about this coming out and how similar it would be. So no complaints from me.

> 3 dayThis is honestly one of my least favorite pokemon games and there are many reasons why. This game is an addition to moon and sun its not a sequel like it looked like it would be. Many of the things I did not enjoy from the first game is still there; like the slow story, the training wheels being there the entire game, long pointless cut-scenes that dont help the story progress, etc. Even with some additions its pointless like the ultra recon characters they added honestly nothing good to the game. There were no major changes in this game and to begin with pokemon moon and sun for me personally was hard to finish. This game feels like a cheap dlc that was rushed. Im just sad because I love the pokemon franchise and have played every game and every spin-off this game just didnt feel good to me.

13-04-2025Wonderful game, different story and play style than the previous generations. Instead of gyms, you have to do special challenges. HMs dont exist in the game, but are instead swapped out as a TM that are unlimited usage. I love the fact that the game fighting style has changed too much and that z moves were introduced which are Pokemon based oriented. Overall, I highly recommend this game and do not want to give away too many spoilers!
