It has a Core i7 processor but only 8GB of RAM, so I figured that increasing its memory would help out a little. But when I saw this Samsung SSD on sale for less money than it would cost me to buy 16GB of RAM, I decided to buy it.

I bought this computer about 18 months ago and have lived with its unbelievably slow response because I had installed software before realizing it was a total dog. Recently decided to buy a replacement because I couldnt put up with it anymore. The ACER had been touted as a good, inexpensive unit but with only Microsoft Office added it was sooooo slow. > 24 hourWith the correct USB to SSD adapter free downloaded cloning software very easy to close this drive from a standard HDD. Then just swap the SSD for the HDD and PC boots 2 to 3X faster. See the File transfer utility at Samsung.com/samsungssd. Utility only works with listed Samsung SSDs

> 24 hour18 months and boot issues. Reinstalled windows 4 times and the boot sector gets lost corrupt after 3 boots. odd. I love supporting Samsung but this drive has not lasted in my opinion. I tried many tricks and some I just learned today. No luck. Popped in the old smaller drive and no issue. Ran the updates and working great.
