Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

Had a 250gb and bought this 500gb for more storage n continued Speedy computer. If anyone is reading this review i promise you, you will not regret purchasing this Samsung SSD. Come into the light n join the SSD world. Faster Speeds n Great times are ahead my friend. Trust me. I would def recommend this Samsung SSD to fam n friends and anyone reading this review. Truly a Great Product.

I replaced the 7200 rpm 2.5 640GB hard disk of my Dell XPS 15 with this SSD. Apart from dealing with tiny screws, the swap out worked fine. The Samsung migration software worked perfectly even though the SSD offered 500GB of storage. My clunky old Dell has gone from marginally usable to downright zippy. It has a new lease on life!

Bought as a game drive. Once your steam directory starts creeping above 2GB things get pretty unwieldy and slow from all the entries in the mft, let alone your Origin, GOG, and Uplay on the drive as well. Makes loading those programs with 25000+ files really fast (or even the sane low file count packed ones) Levels load bars dont creep and judder across the screen, you are into levels MUCH more quickly. SSDs also a great benefit for game engines that use streaming assets from disk like textures , world loading, etc.

I used this SSD to upgrade my 7 year old laptop and breathe some life back into it. This Sony VAIO is my only computer and was having an issue where the HDD would be at 100% read durning startup and while running programs. That HDD was hitting 20Mb/s on a good day. In installed this HDD and turned on hyper mode with the magician software and then BOOM I’m hitting 4,500+Mb/s! It’s only at 1% usage almost always! Then I found my RAM was a bottleneck, is I threw in 8 more Gb of ram and now my processor is the bottleneck. IT NEVER ENDS! But it’s safe to say it started with this Samsung SSD and this thing is amazing. My computer literally is usable in seconds and I bought it in 2013!!

For the price you can’t beat it !! It really speed up my computer everything seem so much faster wish I would’ve done this a long time ago

Installed drive in my sons laptop before he began is 1st year in college a few months ago. It is easy to install and working great!

This 1 TB drive came unformatted. When connected to an iMac, it could be, with no issues, initialized and formatted with the new Apple file system APFS designed for SSDs. This drive has behaved flawlessly so far. I copied (and have repeatedly accessed) over 500 GB of data onto the drive without any problems. I will update if my opinion changes but for now this seems like an excellent SSD at a competitive price.

I installed this 500 GB model to my HP P7 -1110 desk top computer that has a second generation Core i3 processor and 6 GB of RAM at 1333 MHz. After the upgrade, my desktop runs super fast. With Optimization option activated, Samsung Magician speed test shows that the read speed is over 3000 Mbps and write speed is over 5000 Mbps.
