Very easy to install for a novice computer user fixing their own laptop. Just follow the basic instructions and swap the old non-working hard drive for the new one. If your computer was previously loaded with Win 10 (or other), the computer should recognize it and install for you during the setup process. You DO NOT have to purchase another operating system if this is the case. You Tube is also an excellent resource when doing this process.

This was one sale for 109 and couldnt pass it up for my build. SSD is getting cheaper and better since my last build and are easier to install than HDD, I will say go for a M.2 slot for your OS as its 3x faster than SSD but for a quality SSD and price wise look no further.

I would have liked to have gotten this $20 cheaper but what can you do. I used the drive to replace a HDD to help speed up my system. Didnt have to partition or anything. I did, however, have to reset my Mobo because I screwed up in the process of disabling the password I had set for it. Managed to reset by moving the jumper on it and it started up just fine.. Unplugged other drives and plugged in the SSD then plugged USB backup plugged in. My Mobo automatically used the USB priority then instantly engaged the SSD to install Win10. The only issues I had was when graphics driver wouldnt install and SteamUi.dll wouldnt load. A restart in both instances allowed each installation to progress. Fits perfectly in a bracket to be inserted in a 3.5in slot if you dont have a space to screw the SSD in anywhere else.

I am constantly amazed with how fast technology is advancing. SSDs are cheaper and have more capacity than ever, and I cant recommend this one enough. I no longer see any reason to own a hdd unless you need much, much more storage. Although, I suspect that those who do are in the minority.

My computer boots in seconds rather than minutes now, and with the size to cost ratio, buying this isnt a hard decision for me. I would recommend it, and would buy again if I have the need.

I got this for my PS4 and destiny 2 fast travel is actually fast now. Its not mindblowing or anything, but the difference is quite noticeable if youre a hardcore player this is a very welcome upgrade, but if youre a casual player dont bother you wont even see a difference. The more demanding the game youre playing the more of a performance boost youll notice. If you play games like fifa the difference is negligible.
