    Greater than one week

I have always hated sanding. I still hate sanding, but this sanding block is at least easy to use and switch sandpapers with; just flip the levers to loosen the hooks, slide the sandpaper in, and tighten the levers to tighten the hooks. There is no functional difference in the colors available. Different colors are for shops that have multiple sanding blocks out at one time in order to differentiate the grit.

I took the advice of some of the reviewers and bought 3 of these (Red, Yellow, Green) for different grits. I finally got the chance to use them earlier this week, and I absolutely love this product. Easy to load, great fit in my hand, large flat 1/4 sheet surface, light weight. I absolutely love it. So much so, that I just added the blue one to the cart as well. I do wish the pad was a higher durometer foam, that may be some improvement Ill make down the road.

Because it is plainly better than other sanding blocks. Sandpaper changes are quick and painless. The edges are nearly non-marring. It is really comfortable in your hand. Whats not to love?

I love the fact that you use more of the sheet surface than with other sanding blocks. I also like the weight and it is easy to load. The only issue for me was that it is slightly less comfortable in the left hand (I am left handed). I dont know if the rods can be swapped but it would probably require replacing the pad so I wont bother. I expect I will buy a couple more as time goes on.

This tool is a GEM for all wood workers and alike. Tip: I took 80,120,240 grit 21 sanding belts and cut them at 9 strips. [2out of each belt] The sanding block is 2 3/4 wide. The belts are 3 wide but are very stiff. Believe me, you will save money this way. The belts are cheaper then a sheet of good paper and will last longer. The paper dosent slip on the clamps. Very easy to install the sand paper. Great Design! Well worth the money.

Even with all the power tools, I still use a hand sander for many jobs. This is finally one that works well and is sturdy. It is well worth the money.

I especially like the way this sanding block fits my hand, the feel and comfort. This is the first sanding block that does not cause my hand to cramp with extended use. The sand paper backing plate is of a quality material they is firm yet resilient enough to allow the sand paper to contact slightly uneven surfaces. The backing plate is firm enough to help the user to avoid rounding off the edge of the work being sanded. The 1/4 sheet mechanism holds the sanding paper tight and secure to the backing plate. I would buy this sanding block again. I fully intend to buy additional blocks to hold different sand paper grits.

But the Preppin Weapon makes it as tolerable as it can be. Dimensions are correct so you use a whole sheet without a narrow strip left over. The attachment mechanism is great - solid and secure, absolutely doesnt slip. The foam base has just the right amount of give. Feels good in your hand and is really comfortable to use. Cant believe I waited so long to buy one...

Have one of each color - 5 total. This is the best sanding block I’ve ever used. So simple to load, hold, different colors for different grits saves a ton of time.
