It should take a while to know how well it works

This works amazing as a biomedia, probably the best. I do wish the rock chunks were smaller for my small sponge filters-- still very happy! They did take over 2 weeks to start up even though the tank and sponges were cycled for many months now, so just take that as a precaution.

I have only had this for a month or two, but after destroying our tanks eco system during an attempt to get rid of snails, it has been amazing. For several months, the ecosystem was struggling to cycle correctly. We lost several fish, one at a time, until this purchase. Since adding the Seachem Matrix, the water is clearer, the fish are more lively and colorful. Overall its a great product and maintenance is easy, just rinse rocks off and reuse.

This stuff is great! No more buying those overpriced Aqueon filters.

Ive tried them all. Nothing compares. This is not your every day pumice. Well worth the price.
