Per square inch of de-nitrifying bacteria colonization (internal and external) its the better cost effective product on the market. Plus like most Seachem products I use (Purigen, Phosguard, Cuprisorb); you never have to replace it. Perfect H2O!

Purchased it to help treat the new tank syndrome. It really helps to limit the ammonia level and helps to clear up my cloudy water faster.

Been running for about 2 months and have not seen a miricle. Its it a aquaclear HOB. At this point I have to say its no betteror worse than any other bio media

Best filtration media you can use IMO (and the research seems to back this statement up). Particularly if you have a canister filter (because of the anaerobic possibilities), although it works fine with a HOB filter so long as it has space to fit enough of this rather large media.

I dont have numbers or proof but I use this as my biological media with sponges. Many people swear by it so that is why I chose it. Natural as well.

I like this stuff, its versatile and the pieces are a good size.
