really excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

I was surprised, that the suction was strong enough to have picked up a sample eye drop bottle, the lid, and other general dirt. It was something my husband accidentally vacuumed up and I did not know it. When I needed to use it today, it worked for a few minutes and then overheated (imagine that). After chatting with the help on Amazon and looking at the book provided, I went back to the vacuum and found the port at the end of the hose. I could visibly see the blue bottle, and then knew why the machine was unhappy. I popped open the port, pulled out the lid, the bottle and built up dirt and was surprised it even worked for 10 minutes with that. Surprise... it is back to working like new! I can recommend this unit, we have 4 dogs, lots of debris from the outdoors, and some hair along with lots of dust. It is working fine and is easy to deal with small issues like clogged hose, things around the roller, and cleaning the filters.

This is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. It actually makes vacuuming easy, enjoyable and a breeze. I like to vacuum in the dark, lol, because the lights really show the dirt/pet hair! My floors were so dirty! I didn’t even realize how dirty they were! The vacuum is amazing on hard surfaces and does just as well on carpet/rugs. Buy. The. Vac. You’ll be glad you did!

I never thought that I would enjoy vacuuming but I have to admit that I love my Shark DuoClean Pro. When we moved into a very large (nearly 3,000 sq. ft.) house with a carpeted 2nd floor & a partially carpeted basement, from a tiny apartment with no carpets- I realized it was time to purchase a serious vacuum cleaner. Wait, no, I just wish that I would’ve realized that right away, but instead I purchased a lightweight cordless stick Shark vacuum and figured out pretty quickly that while it was suitable enough for small messes on our hardwood floors it wasn’t going to cut it for getting the carpets clean in a giant haunted house that contained two Pomeranians and two cats, not to mention two long-haired humans. The brush roll on the stick vacuum was completely clogged with fur and stopped working after approximately two minutes of use. So I did some research and while I was skeptical about purchasing another Shark product at first- I read review after review saying that the self-cleaning brush roll was a miracle feature for pet owners. I caved and ordered this DuoClean Pro and I’m so glad I did. This thing is a beast and it cleans up after my beasts with ease. I can’t believe how much dust and dirt and fur it picks up. I’ve been using this thing for about eight months now and no matter how clogged the brush roll gets with dog fur and hair and anything else it picks up- it keeps spinning & working perfectly. I haven’t had to bust out a pair of scissors or a knife to start hacking away at clogged dog fur even once. I have absolutely no clue how it works, but it does, and that’s good enough for me. The very bright LED light is so helpful for cleaning underneath cabinets & tables. It’s easy to use and simple to empty. It’s a little cumbersome and because of that maneuvering it is a bit difficult to master at first, but I think that’s really only because I was used to using a comparatively tiny stick vacuum prior to purchasing the DuoClean Pro. I would absolutely recommend this model to any pet owner or anyone at all in the market for a great vacuum cleaner- I don’t think there’s any way you’ll be disappointed.

Ive had a shark for 9 years. It was time for a new one and I read reviews and purchased (and returned) 4 others before this one. Nothing compares to this Shark Rotator Lift-Away Pro. Great cleaning power, long cord, great for carpet (even long pile) abs hard wood, and easy to clean stairs. I have a golden retriever and it cleans up wonderfully after him. If you have a GR, then you know that the pet hair is long and plentiful. I cant say enough about this purchase. Im grateful to have another decade with this vacuum.

This guy Ernest took really good care of a shipping issue at great expense to himself. I bought this vacuum for myself months ago and loved it. So I bought it for a friend as a wedding gift. Amazon is having problems with address software it seems and long story short it got sent to me twice instead of them. He sent them one really quickly and I’m very impressed with his response time. I’m not impressed with the checkout software At All, however. The vacuum is an absolute beast in the power department. It is quite heavy, but once you get the hang of it, it is very maneuverable.

This is my second Shark vacuum and I am very pleased with it. It has awesome suction and its easy to maneuver. Its easy to go from vacuuming to attaching one of the tools to it and back again. Ive had it now for close to a year I guess and it is still just as good as the day I bought it. I have yet to have to clean any hair off the beater bar! My only complaints are that one of the wheels has started squeaking when you push it and the squeak is rather loud. My second complaint is there isnt enough room on the vacuum to put all the attachments so if you need the one that doesnt have a place on the vacuum you have to go retrieve it. This is a minor problem and I can easily live with it! I would recommend this unit.

I was very excited to upgrade to a this ZU782 Shark. That has been short lived and I am hoping I get used to it and it gets better. Right of the bat, it is heavier than my previous vacuum and much harder to maneuver. I have hit baseboards more than once. It suctions really well and that is the only thing I am finding super positive. Very disappointed in the attachments and there are no others to buy. My old one had a brush type attachment that allowed me to suction the top of the baseboards and such while kind of scrubbing the dirt up to be suctioned. None of the attachments allow that. It comes with 3 attachments but there are only places for two of them on your vacuum. Also using the attachments is awkward. It isnt just attaching to the hose, you have to remove the top half that is like a miniature vacuum and it doesnt allow you to get into tight spaces under furniture. Using a hose was much better but not possible with this model. All in all, I wish I had bought something different.

The suction and cleaning was hands down better than the older Dyson. I cant say as far as a comparison with the newer ones. But the cleaning, suction, and maneuverability is great. And its narrow enough to fit between the legs of chairs, Dyson was too wide. Plus the cleaning head, if you will, is low and fits under furniture the Dyson wont. One other thing, the brush and suction is so good, its almost self propelled on carpet.

I love love love this vacuum! Its lighter then my Bissell that I had for 5 years and then it broke. I was nervous about buying a vacuum on line . Im glad I didnt cheap out and bought this one its a keeper. I couldnt believe how dirty my carpets were and I vacuum weekly. 2 dogs 2 cats!! Cord is to short and bag less container is too small but other than that its really awesome!! Light weight easy to push around and the beater brush work just like they said it would!! Nothing to cut off with scissors!! That is so great!!! Yes BUY this vacuum! I am a real customer and I was not paid to write this review!
