25-04-2025I am pretty impressed with this vacuum. After using a Dyson for years it was getting to expensive to repair. So gambled on the Shark after reading the reviews. Wife is pretty picky when it comes to vacuums. So far she is happy with this one

> 3 dayThis is the first vacuum Ive purchased in nearly a decade. I was initially set on spending a small fortune on a Dyson. Im glad I was swayed this way by both a friend and Consumer Reports. From their photos, I though this was going to be way bigger, Im glad its not. The first night I used this, it found it clears most of my furniture and cabinets which is very convenient. The ability to separate the main vacuum from the base is great. Makes taking this around for quick jobs easy; it will definitely get used inside my truck, and would definitely make doing stairs a breeze. The next option of using the wand or just the handle is super convenient with the long hose length depending upon what reach you need for a given job. Reaching up to get dust from a fan or curtain or grab a pesky spider/web, use the wand with ease; just need to reach the sofa or a counter, use only the handle. The suction regulator position is easy to use for doing area rugs or runners so they dont get stuck and move all around on you. The floor rollers - while picking up a ton of pet hair, the rollers seemed to shed the hair very well (FYI - no experience with long hair). Between the suction and the rollers, so much more hair and junk was pulled out if my area rug I was almost disgusted thinking it was clean because I just did it a couple days ago using my old one. Wow was I wrong. The powered upholstery tool takes a bit of a knack to get working but whoa once you do. My only gripe is that there is no dust brush attachment available for this model. Though I think I could modify either my old one or the Shark model to fit this vacuum.

> 3 dayI dont normally leave reviews, but I just used this vacuum for the first time and I LOVE IT! I have 4 adopted dogs and 1 foster dog currently, so needless to say dog hair is a major issue in my house. I have hardwood floors and area rugs and it cleans both beautifully. Its easy to maneuver around and under furniture. I used it on the furniture too and it did a great job getting the hair! Ive gone through several vacuums over the years and broken a few with what I require from a vacuum. I dont know how this baby will hold up long term, but right now Im definitely in love!!!!!!

> 3 dayreally excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

Greater than one weekPurchased this unit to replace a prior Shark Unit that I enjoyed with the exception of the constant cleaning of the brush having two long haired dogs. Bought this unit because of the design, dual roller system and tangle free self cleaning brush roller advertised design. Well the front roller self cleans and always looks great, the rear roller, main drive to pull debris into the vacuum itself tangles and needs regular cleaning. Just two months old, the main roller locked up. Cleaned it out but the roller was completely locked which wasnt typical from prior cleanings, while cleaning the brush was previously able to rotate it to make sure the cleaning was thorough, not this time, complete lock up. Can not access the gear ends, wasnt sure if there might be something caught in there, and being only two months old, did not want to crack it open and void any type of warranty. Hah! Called customer support, very helpful in doing a video link call to examine the product to try and trouble shoot. After checking the unit out, was told the limited warranty did not cover the drive roller, it was considered a wearable part! The roller was perfectly fine, it wasnt worn, it was some type of problem with the drive system. Possibly small debris tucked up in the gears, but there is no access to the brush end gears without a complete dismantle. Because it wasnt a warranty part, I was told the part would be $79.95! Seriously? Almost a third of the cost of the unit! Looked over the warranty as I was speaking with the rep, and complained how a motorized unit that was no longer working was a wearable part, and only two months old. Rep offered the part at 50%, plus tax and free shipping. Had to point out that I resided in a tax free state, that he followed up on after originally telling me tax was charged to my state, got that worked out anyway. I liked the vacuum up until this point. Really has a lot of power, and have to get used to the carpet air adjustment on the handle and bought the part at the 50% cost after we squared away the tax, maybe an error, maybe another way to squeeze an extra nickel, but will be the last shark product I purchase.......

> 3 dayIve been searching for a vacuum that would pick up cat litter scattered on the floor; this Shark is a winner. This is my first time using a Duo and I am impressed. The vacuum is more than I wanted to spend, but that seems to be the norm with any decent vacuum. To address some of the other reviews: a) I have had no issues with vacuum being unstable when stood up. Just make sure the floor part is clicked in / latched into the upright part of the vacuum. I have had it standing on hardwood, tile, and low-pile carpet. b) Yes, the cord is low on the body of the upright part of the vacuum. This is my second Shark canister vacuum and the cord has been low on both of them, probably because of the canister needing to be removable. In order to prevent running over the cord when pulling the vacuum backwards; I lay the first section of the cord up and over the top cord hook. Works great this way.

> 3 dayI was surprised, that the suction was strong enough to have picked up a sample eye drop bottle, the lid, and other general dirt. It was something my husband accidentally vacuumed up and I did not know it. When I needed to use it today, it worked for a few minutes and then overheated (imagine that). After chatting with the help on Amazon and looking at the book provided, I went back to the vacuum and found the port at the end of the hose. I could visibly see the blue bottle, and then knew why the machine was unhappy. I popped open the port, pulled out the lid, the bottle and built up dirt and was surprised it even worked for 10 minutes with that. Surprise... it is back to working like new! I can recommend this unit, we have 4 dogs, lots of debris from the outdoors, and some hair along with lots of dust. It is working fine and is easy to deal with small issues like clogged hose, things around the roller, and cleaning the filters.

> 3 dayWe have owned the previous equivalent model of this vacuum for about eight years. We love shark vacuums, and they’re efficiency, ease-of-use, and cost of operation.

> 3 dayRefined suction - doesnt rip your curtains down or pull up throw rugs but if you see dirt along the edge of a baseboard you see it get sucked right up. Super sealed! I have always sneezed my ass of when vacuuming with this thing the air itself actually feels and smells dust free. You could probably just turn it on with the wand in the air and it would act like an air filtration system like the old Rainbows! -Best ergonomics of any vacuum I have ever had. I still own a 15 year old Dyson animal but its heavy and clunky. I also had a Shark from 5 years ago that had a pull away function but it was a pain in the ass and would not sit flat. The wand or the handle both separate with ease. And the swivel where the hose is attached as seen in pic above prevents the hose from getting stretched out. DUO system - I didnt really care about this when I bought it but I flipping love it! You know how your floor feels on your bare feet after its been physically wiped down? Well that is how it makes your hard surface floors feel. - easy to care for every hose and filter is easy to access which makes it easy to clean. People wonder why their stuff dies... you have to maintain it. - The only are of concern I have is how the hose that come out of the top is in a state of permanent flex as shown in the picture. Over time this must wear out but time will tell.

> 3 dayThis vacuum is very powerful. It works great on my tile floors and carpet. I have two dogs that have long hair and this vacuum works really well cleaning up after them. This vacuum is a little on the heavy side. It’s not a problem for normal use but picking it up is a little heavy. But the suction is amazing and I recommend this vacuum for those who have dogs. So some hair or sting may be rapped around the the brush but I didn’t think it would be a perfect system, but compared to my old vacuum this brush is way better about not having a ton of hair wrapped around it
