    Greater than one week

heavier than most vacuums used in the past. had to clean the roller as pet and human hair caused it to stop suctioning instructions on how to put attachments on vacuum were not clear. did not keep hair from collecting on roller. pretty heavy vacuum It does clean pretty good though, if you keep the roller from getting to much wrapped around it

This vacuum is very powerful. It works great on my tile floors and carpet. I have two dogs that have long hair and this vacuum works really well cleaning up after them. This vacuum is a little on the heavy side. It’s not a problem for normal use but picking it up is a little heavy. But the suction is amazing and I recommend this vacuum for those who have dogs. So some hair or sting may be rapped around the the brush but I didn’t think it would be a perfect system, but compared to my old vacuum this brush is way better about not having a ton of hair wrapped around it

I just got the vacuum today. It was easy to put together but I have not yet found where ALL the attachments go. I see a space for two of the three but then was left standing there holding the little attachment and looking all around for the space it goes in and ended up just leaving it lay on the table. For comparison, I have a 7 year old Dyson DC40. The PROS - This vacuum has great suction. - The cord is 30 feet long - 5 feet longer than my old vacuum which makes a big difference, believe it or not. - I love the light on the floor piece. It makes it so much easier to see. - It is much quieter than the old Dyson. The CONS - This is a heavy vacuum, almost 18 pounds, which doesnt seem like a lot, but it is when you have arthritis. - Its bulky! And thick - meaning the edges of the vacuum dont fit under the sofa like the old Dyson. - It can be self propelled on carpet, but it doesnt turn as smoothly or easily as my old Dyson. - It has two (2) filters you have to change out and they are not cheap. - The attachments fall off all the time or get pulled off by the cord. All in all, I am pleased with it so far. I vacuumed the whole house and then vacuumed it again because I was so grossed out by how much stuff the Shark picked up. However, I still havent figured out where the other attachment goes. Ive read the manual cover to cover and stared at the dang machine for 20 minutes. Its probably very obvious and right in front of my face, but Im just not seeing it.

I have had this for a month now and just amazed at how much it picks up! I have a toddler, 8 year old, two cats and a significant other that make it hard to keep up but the vacuum has so far! I need to get the other attachments though to get fans and baseboards but Im thrilled with this. I had a dyson animal before and had it for 7 years or so and this has been pretty comparable except this is more on weight. The collection cup does seem to hold about the same or more so less dumping in between rooms. The ability to increase and decrease suction is a nice feature also.

It really does clean well..no pets, but I have long hair that continually jammed my previous vacuum. It also seems to polish the bare floors. However, be aware that it is heavy and top-heavy...it requires a certain amount of strength to maneuver. Its a very good vacuum, and Im pleased with it.

I had to replace my Dyson vacuum so I decided to give this a try, so glad I did. I like this much better.

We’ve had a lot of different vacuums over the years and I must say so far it’s the best!!! I really like the lift away feature.

Pros: Not too heavy (see detailed review below) Canister separates to make an even lighter unit Attachments hold firm to caddy Swivel head allows for quick turns Has lighted brush switch so you know when the brushes are engaged for carpet Relatively quiet. (as loud as a 1500 watt hair dryer) Cons: NO DUSTING BRUSH (I knocked off 2 stars for this) Floor head only 12” wide Finicky release buttons hard to push Attachments not standard size Conclusion: I recommend it as long as you know its limitations. This unit replaces my Wind Tunnel self propelled vac which got too heavy and cumbersome to lug up the steps anymore. The stated weight is 17 lbs. which I confirmed. People should understand what 17 lbs. is before buying this or any vac. The lifting handle is located at the center of gravity so you can lift straight up without bending. When you separate the canister from the floor brush unit you shave off 6 lbs. making a compact package for vacuuming the stairs while moving the canister up one step at a time. I found the release for the hose handle and also the emptying latches stiff and difficult to push. If you have arthritis in your hands better go to the store and check one out in person. I can not believe this vacuum DOES NOT COME WITH A DUSTING BURSH nor is one available for this unit according to the Shark website. Half of my vacuuming is done with a dusting brush. The hose on this model seems to be a wider diameter than previous Sharks so existing attachments will not fit. Since it is not standard almost none of the ones on Amazon will fit. I finally found one that comes with an adapter that enables it and all other standard attachments to fit. With the adapter in place you can mount the brush on the back of the vac. Finally, there are a lot of plastic catches and latches on this unit and I hope they will stand the test of time. The 5 year warranty is only as good as Sharks customer service which based on a lot of these reviews is sketchy at best. Purchased this unit to replace a prior Shark Unit that I enjoyed with the exception of the constant cleaning of the brush having two long haired dogs. Bought this unit because of the design, dual roller system and tangle free self cleaning brush roller advertised design. Well the front roller self cleans and always looks great, the rear roller, main drive to pull debris into the vacuum itself tangles and needs regular cleaning. Just two months old, the main roller locked up. Cleaned it out but the roller was completely locked which wasnt typical from prior cleanings, while cleaning the brush was previously able to rotate it to make sure the cleaning was thorough, not this time, complete lock up. Can not access the gear ends, wasnt sure if there might be something caught in there, and being only two months old, did not want to crack it open and void any type of warranty. Hah! Called customer support, very helpful in doing a video link call to examine the product to try and trouble shoot. After checking the unit out, was told the limited warranty did not cover the drive roller, it was considered a wearable part! The roller was perfectly fine, it wasnt worn, it was some type of problem with the drive system. Possibly small debris tucked up in the gears, but there is no access to the brush end gears without a complete dismantle. Because it wasnt a warranty part, I was told the part would be $79.95! Seriously? Almost a third of the cost of the unit! Looked over the warranty as I was speaking with the rep, and complained how a motorized unit that was no longer working was a wearable part, and only two months old. Rep offered the part at 50%, plus tax and free shipping. Had to point out that I resided in a tax free state, that he followed up on after originally telling me tax was charged to my state, got that worked out anyway. I liked the vacuum up until this point. Really has a lot of power, and have to get used to the carpet air adjustment on the handle and bought the part at the 50% cost after we squared away the tax, maybe an error, maybe another way to squeeze an extra nickel, but will be the last shark product I purchase.......
