really excited when this came and then... put together was good other than wand would not stay in place in main unit, found that tab was stuck and had to giggle it loose to catch (SHOULD have just boxed it back up and sent it back BIG MISTAKE to not do) Then found on first use on carpet there is a short in the electrical cord somewhere so during use the brush feature will turn itself off and I have to giggle or pull on the cord to get it to start again - MAJOR ISSUE. Box got thrown away (efficient husband) before I realized what an issue this vacuum is. My son has one and never had any issues so thats why I got this one. Its just the luck of the draw I guess for poor quality workmanship and quality control.

Was able to grab a gently used version and I can’t believe what this picked up after I had done a thorough vacuum on my rugs and hard floor. I can’t believe I waited so long to invest in a good vacuum. Highly recommend

Refined suction - doesnt rip your curtains down or pull up throw rugs but if you see dirt along the edge of a baseboard you see it get sucked right up. Super sealed! I have always sneezed my ass of when vacuuming with this thing the air itself actually feels and smells dust free. You could probably just turn it on with the wand in the air and it would act like an air filtration system like the old Rainbows! -Best ergonomics of any vacuum I have ever had. I still own a 15 year old Dyson animal but its heavy and clunky. I also had a Shark from 5 years ago that had a pull away function but it was a pain in the ass and would not sit flat. The wand or the handle both separate with ease. And the swivel where the hose is attached as seen in pic above prevents the hose from getting stretched out. DUO system - I didnt really care about this when I bought it but I flipping love it! You know how your floor feels on your bare feet after its been physically wiped down? Well that is how it makes your hard surface floors feel. - easy to care for every hose and filter is easy to access which makes it easy to clean. People wonder why their stuff dies... you have to maintain it. - The only are of concern I have is how the hose that come out of the top is in a state of permanent flex as shown in the picture. Over time this must wear out but time will tell.

Do you have a pet that sheds so much on a weekly basis you could make whole liters of new pets from their hair? GET THIS VACUUM. I love my dog but the shedding is excessive, on every surface. If you want to seamlessly vacuum wood floors and go right onto carpet with the push of a button - THIS vacuum does that. If you want a vacuum that gets into spaces you normally can’t - THIS ONE. If you want to stop spending HOURS every week sweeping your floor, this one will save you time and back pain! The one downside is it is a little on the heavier side but I think the weight helps it pick up as much as it does. I don’t mind getting a little workout in while the floor is being cleaned!

It has a little weight to it that makes it a little harder to maneuver. I like that it goes under chairs. I dont feel it cleans along edges of the carpet very well without using attachments.

This is my second Shark vacuum and I am very pleased with it. It has awesome suction and its easy to maneuver. Its easy to go from vacuuming to attaching one of the tools to it and back again. Ive had it now for close to a year I guess and it is still just as good as the day I bought it. I have yet to have to clean any hair off the beater bar! My only complaints are that one of the wheels has started squeaking when you push it and the squeak is rather loud. My second complaint is there isnt enough room on the vacuum to put all the attachments so if you need the one that doesnt have a place on the vacuum you have to go retrieve it. This is a minor problem and I can easily live with it! I would recommend this unit.

3 dogs create alot of hair and dirt in a primarly carpet house. Ive had several vacuums in the last couple years that I thought did well, until I bought this vacuum. This vacuum is incredible. I used to vacuum and then carpet scrub and still get alot of hair out with the scrubber, now there is hardly any hair and the water seems cleaner to my eye. The amount of hair and dirt the shark picks up is disgustingly awesome. I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone struggling with pet hair and dirt.

This is the first vacuum Ive purchased in nearly a decade. I was initially set on spending a small fortune on a Dyson. Im glad I was swayed this way by both a friend and Consumer Reports. From their photos, I though this was going to be way bigger, Im glad its not. The first night I used this, it found it clears most of my furniture and cabinets which is very convenient. The ability to separate the main vacuum from the base is great. Makes taking this around for quick jobs easy; it will definitely get used inside my truck, and would definitely make doing stairs a breeze. The next option of using the wand or just the handle is super convenient with the long hose length depending upon what reach you need for a given job. Reaching up to get dust from a fan or curtain or grab a pesky spider/web, use the wand with ease; just need to reach the sofa or a counter, use only the handle. The suction regulator position is easy to use for doing area rugs or runners so they dont get stuck and move all around on you. The floor rollers - while picking up a ton of pet hair, the rollers seemed to shed the hair very well (FYI - no experience with long hair). Between the suction and the rollers, so much more hair and junk was pulled out if my area rug I was almost disgusted thinking it was clean because I just did it a couple days ago using my old one. Wow was I wrong. The powered upholstery tool takes a bit of a knack to get working but whoa once you do. My only gripe is that there is no dust brush attachment available for this model. Though I think I could modify either my old one or the Shark model to fit this vacuum.

Purchased this to replace our 8 year old Shark Navigator lift away. This thing died from the board overheating in 5 months. Tried calling Shark, the automated system didnt even offer an option for vacuums. Took it to the local repair and was boxes of Shark vacuums that had done the same thing. They also told us that Shark doesnt stand behind their product & it takes forever to get parts. Our old Shark was bullet proof. This one is not. Shark customer service doesnt exist. We use our vacuum 2-3 times weekly on a 2700 sq ft house. A $300 vacuum cleaner should last longer than 5 months. Dont buy.
