I got this ZU782 Rotator to replace a Shark Navigator Powered Lift Away Pet (nv586). Our house is mostly hardwood now, and we use a Shark ION Flex with DuoClean - its awesome for hardwoods, the front roller does a great job polishing the wood and picking up ANYTHING large. I figured this model would be great on carpet as well - but despite the ridiculously high suction this vacuum has, the Zero M brush does NOT agitate the carpet enough. I vacuumed a 10-sqft section of carpet with this vacuum, and noticed the brush lines in the carpet were very fine, but not very pronounced. I took my Shark Navigator, emptied the bin out and vacuumed the same section again. The amount of dirt and dog hair the ZU782 left behind was ASTONISHING! The Navigator has a traditional brush head that is powered, and very similar suction power - but that brush head is planted much closer to the carpet than the ZU782 has the Zero M roller positioned and I think that is what makes all the difference on carpet. The wand on the ZU782 has a larger diameter hose thats longer than my navigators, and its on a really nice swivel as well. It comes with a air powered wand attachment - I had one on a old Dyson and found it to be mediocre. It is also NOT a powered lift away - meaning when you lift away the base with motor - the main brush head is detached and can not be used separately as the navigators can - though its not a super useful less going under beds.

I had big expectations for the price. I’m really happy with it. I love the filtration, as my son has severe asthma. I can’t believe how much I am getting up when I get this bad boy out!

Vacuum is heaver then what it says. Heaver then the old vacuums back in the day. My wrist hurts from just using it for 10 minutes. I can not expect my cleaning service to take this up and down the stairs. No smooth on turns and does not have a good suction as I was hopping for. Also, was shipped without the manual of how to put together or use. For the money, I would not recommend.

Refined suction - doesnt rip your curtains down or pull up throw rugs but if you see dirt along the edge of a baseboard you see it get sucked right up. Super sealed! I have always sneezed my ass of when vacuuming with this thing the air itself actually feels and smells dust free. You could probably just turn it on with the wand in the air and it would act like an air filtration system like the old Rainbows! -Best ergonomics of any vacuum I have ever had. I still own a 15 year old Dyson animal but its heavy and clunky. I also had a Shark from 5 years ago that had a pull away function but it was a pain in the ass and would not sit flat. The wand or the handle both separate with ease. And the swivel where the hose is attached as seen in pic above prevents the hose from getting stretched out. DUO system - I didnt really care about this when I bought it but I flipping love it! You know how your floor feels on your bare feet after its been physically wiped down? Well that is how it makes your hard surface floors feel. - easy to care for every hose and filter is easy to access which makes it easy to clean. People wonder why their stuff dies... you have to maintain it. - The only are of concern I have is how the hose that come out of the top is in a state of permanent flex as shown in the picture. Over time this must wear out but time will tell.

Bought my first Shark vacuum back in 2006, still going strong! Just recently replaced my son’s vacuum (same model as this one)- LOVE it! Best vacuum for hard floors And pet hair!!! All that being said; I have one complaint. I wish the attachments were interchangeable between models. I know most manufacturers don’t do this, but it would be great if they did! There are attachments that I prefer to use for certain jobs, but can’t with the new one (I have a different model). We live in same house but leave a on vacuum on each floor; carpets upstairs and all hardwood downstairs

(I dont ever review anything, but I gotta!) This is my thrid Shark vacuum. I only level up because my kids move out every couple of years so I give them the amazing one and then get a new one! I forgot to take a picture of the canister the first, literal minute I used this one. We dont even have animals and the dander, ok probably skin cells, LOL, that got sucked out of the carpet was almost frightening! As in get this vacuum NOW. I didnt even need to use my mop, the floor setting for the hardwoods was like a mop for the dust. Im pretty blown away. Ok, the headlight does let you see you have way more dust in corners than you ever realized...get it!

First Shark Ive owned and I like it. Its a bit difficult to read the lettering on the buttons but otherwise very positive experience.

This is my second Shark vacuum and I am very pleased with it. It has awesome suction and its easy to maneuver. Its easy to go from vacuuming to attaching one of the tools to it and back again. Ive had it now for close to a year I guess and it is still just as good as the day I bought it. I have yet to have to clean any hair off the beater bar! My only complaints are that one of the wheels has started squeaking when you push it and the squeak is rather loud. My second complaint is there isnt enough room on the vacuum to put all the attachments so if you need the one that doesnt have a place on the vacuum you have to go retrieve it. This is a minor problem and I can easily live with it! I would recommend this unit.

It looks nice but very heavy, not suitable to carry up, down steps. I have more than one shark vacuum. It is my favorite kind. The older versions seemed to have better suction than the newer ones, the earlier versions of the lift away where the power head could go under furniture was way better. I’ll use it around the house. I bought it to go in an office I work to keep there but too heavy to carry up & down steps. I don’t like it compared to the recent ones I have purchased. The headlights is definitely something I love on the vacuum!
