03-04-2025Very lovely as Sony makes fantastic products. Noise-canceling is amazing . Earcups are soft and easy on the ears. The headband cant really feel on and thats wearing it for over 8 hours when I first got them—worth every penny spent.

04-04-2025Design: I love the silver color, looks so glittery and subtle when you look closely. The design looks so much better than the previous models. Sound: Trust me when I say this, they sound way better than Sony Xm4’s. The bass is so much better than what was considered best, before. It feels to me that Mark 4’s lost so much of details in the sound quality, when you listen to this. ANC: Noise cancellation has been improved by a lot. They still cannot cancel noise to a 100%, but well, no headphones can do it yet, but it is the best of any headphone out there. (Airpods max is so close to this), close but not upto this. Transparency/Ambient mode: They sound so much better in this mode than Mark 4’s due to new improved number of mics. Still cant hear 100% of the outside world (like you still cant hear a song playing in an uber as loud as it sounds without an headphone, but still make out what you’re listening to). But I can wear these all day and listen to the world outside, it feels like its removing some useless noises of the real world and that sounds good. Cons: They sound a little better in Androids and pc/laptop with LDAC than on any iphone. But that difference is almost negligible and I still decided to keep them for the iphone because I love the sound. Overall: They’re worth $400, and they’re still cheaper than Airpods max. Lmao.

> 3 dayHuge improvement in the durability of the headband, but its at the expense of a reliable tight fit. Still I love these headphones and would bite them again and again.

> 3 dayI bought these headphones and completely fell in love with them… only until I realized how incompatible they were if you weren’t a android user—so much so, I ended up returning them because of my frustration and fatigue with its interface. If you use Apple products like I do, the headphones features like “360 audio” (which was a huge selling point for me) only works when you download an app for the headphones, and then again only works with certain apps and websites, not all audio like Apple Music or Spotify. I found this to be a huge let down and was even more annoyed I needed these myriad of apps to utilize a huge selling feature of the headphones. Besides the compatibly issue the headphones were amazing: great design, amazing audio, and great battery life yet, ultimately for me it’s overly complicated ways and hoops to jump through as an Apple user is what steered me away here. I instead bought the Apple AirPods Max, equally great sound quality, superior design, and elite performance, plus they are insanely and easily comparable with every thing Apple which was a huge selling point for me. Plus, their “spatial audio” (the same thing as “360 degree audio”) actually works seamlessly, which numerous apps, without jumping through hoops. (Also random tidbit—the Sony headphones get extremely hot and sweaty after you wear them for too long. Apples do not, insanely comfortable and breathable for hours on end).

> 3 dayOverall Im happy with these headphones. The sound is OK but my old Bose were, I think, better. I have a big head (not in the ego sense) and these fit comfortably. I also have silver hair so the white blended in nicely. My only beef with these is the adaptive noise cancelling. Seems like a great idea in theory but it doesnt work very well. I was wearing these and using an electric weed whacker. Everything started out just fine and I could barely hear the weed whacker. Then, for no reason at all, the noise cancelling cut out and I heard all of the ambient noise. After about a minute the noise cancelling turned on again. This same thing has happened at other times as well. I suspect it was because I was stationary (although I have no idea why I would want to hear everything around me if I was standing still). I finally gave up and turned the feature off.

> 3 dayI would assume that a lot of people would like these headphones but I do like some bass and the mx4s do much better in that aspect. In terms of professional use, these come closer to the Airpods Max able to deliver excellent noise cancelling with passable transparency mode. Since I do have the Airpods max however, I didnt need another pair of headphones for professional use.

> 3 dayThe sound is great and noise canceling is a plus. Really like that the batteries hold a charge for a lot longer that l thought they would.

> 3 dayFinally I can get the base boost required for modern metal on iOS (as all iOS users know, iOS is in dire need of a full featured, globally functional Equalizer app). Extreme Bluetooth range and interference reduction. These headphones are great, aside from two big problems that could be fixed with a software update: 1) Sony needs reduce the Bass Boost low-pass filter internal setting down to 80Hz or let us adjust it manually as it’s current hardcoded setting is so high that it really trashes the sound quality of the music. ‘Also needs more equalizer bars and advanced feature to compensate for iOS’s lack thereof. 2) Option for Manual Noise Canceling setting; the automatic works great in most situations, but around work machines we need an Extreme setting.

> 3 dayThese are the best. They are also very light weight, soft, easy to use and flexible. There is a reason they are rated the top headphones.
