My wife paints a lot and I used to buy hanging wire at home depot. It was a few dollars for about 20 feet and Id go through it way too fast. 3. I was hesitant about the protective material thinking it might slip but I love it. Very gentle on the hands while tying and it does stay put. 4. Its strong. 5. Much easier to work with than the braided galvanized wire I was using before. Ive hung several of my paintings since I got it and its worked perfectly.

This wire is really easy to work with and once you get the hang of how to tie the knot it gives your pictures a very professionally framed look. Make sure to get a pair of good needle nose pliers with good wire snip.

Except for the fact that, having written that it had been repackaged, the vendor sent a jumble, loose with broken spool pieces in a baggy, instead of a wound spool, once I got it untangled and stored for efficient access, it has been the perfect wire for my purposes. The plastic coating is a nice finish and allows me to work with it without hurting my hands.
