This was the first time I have ordered this picture wire and I am so glad I did. I recently had many paintings I needed to put hangers on for a show, and this wire was so easy to work with compared to uncoated wires. I highly recommend this picture wire.

I love the coating around this cable. Makes it much more comfortable to handle and it adds some nice grip for the crimping ferrules.

The product itself is very good. Using it as a picture hanging wire and it is quite nice and holds its shape when twisted. However. The plastic spool it is packed on was broken on arrival. There were no pieces in the box so I have to assume it was broken at the shipping center. (Amazon shipped it?) The wire on the spool completely unwound in the box during shipping and was really bad to deal with. 500 ft of stainless wire literally unsprung from the box like a long loose spring. I made my own spool and rewound it on that and that will work fine. The annoyance factor for this was very high. If Amazon packed and/or handled this for shipping they need to look at how they are storing this product. This really was a big annoyance for me.

The stuff I was using before was just plain wire, without any coating over it, and the stuff always left a residue on my hands, like lead, and the mess was annoying at the least. This stuff, by comparison, is a whole other experience, and easily turned a negative into a positive. Whoever thought of this, thank you so much.

great value, very soft coating very flexible and will not slip. will not unravel or untwist after hung. wont slip on the D rings, and will not stretch out longer after it has been hung, stays put. soft on the finger. high quality, I will purchase again, in many years after this is used up

I’ve used this product for well over 10 years on my professional art. It is durable, easy to use, leaves a very clean look, and doesn’t tear up my hands. I have hung large framed watercolors with glass and fill it using this wire, up to 48 x 48“ pieces. I have repeatedly purchased spools of this wire

This wire is fantastic. Easy to work with, winds easily when tying off the wire on back of the picture frame. By far the best price I found for this was here on Amazon.

Its obvious why this wire has an almost perfect review record. Pros: 1. Its affordable and really a great deal. 2. Theres a lot of it and itll last a good long while. My wife paints a lot and I used to buy hanging wire at home depot. It was a few dollars for about 20 feet and Id go through it way too fast. 3. I was hesitant about the protective material thinking it might slip but I love it. Very gentle on the hands while tying and it does stay put. 4. Its strong. 5. Easy to cut with a pair of good tin snips. Cons: Zero

I am a photographer who does my own framing and packaging of my fine art prints for sale and exhibition. If you follow the installation directions on the product label (complete with convenient step-by-step pictures) it will surely hold any frame package up to the weight limit advertised on the label. Im glad to report that, due to the vinyl coating on the wire, once installed it tends to stretch and give less than standard hanging wire so you know your picture wont sink with the force of gravity once its hanging. It is harder to cut with wire cutters than uncoated wire but I still managed fine and have no complaints.
