No more slivers of wire to poke you when attaching a wire to hang your artworks. Always a little give if you need to stretch it! I love to add a polished finish, but I mostly use it because its easy on my hands.

This is the absolute best wire for hanging art unless you have REALLY heavy pictures. The plastic coating keeps you and the buyer from cutting your fingers from those pesky little tiny wires twisted in those other kinds of hanging wires that you can never quite crimp all the way when you cut them. This spool even comes with very clear photographs as to how to bend this wire back on itself so that it wont come undone, for those of us artists who never quite mastered the surgeons knot necessary to secure traditional framers wire. I, however, was very disappointed in the packing job, as this spool comes with two holes along the edge so that you can twist the cut end back into them. My spool came broken on both sides because of the packing job...:( The wire isnt going to unravel like a spool of thread, as the wire is stiff, but thats why I only gave this product 4 stars instead of the 5 stars it deserves. Come on guys in the packing department.... get your act(s) together!

I work as a handyman. Lately I have been doing a lot of picture hanging. Maybe a 45 LB wire is overkill on tiny frames ( < 10 lbs) but the ease of use, and having it on a spool is a real time saver. But, whenever I use this product, I get flashbacks to my childhood, watching the Roadrunner cartoons, thinking about the Coyote and a spool of fuse wire for dynamite, that somehow always ended badly for the Coyote.

This picture wire is great and easy to work with. The plastic coating makes it very hand-friendly when tying into the hanging hardware. I have been able to hang frames as big as 48x48 and as small as 11x14 with this stuff. I have never been disappointed in its ability to hold a picture up properly. A single roll is size 5 wire gauge by 500ft long. It has a max hold of 43lbs. Standard wire cutters will cut this wire no problem as well. This is my third time to order and returned twice now because it is delivered with broken plastic reel that holds the wire, causing the wire to fall off the reel. Disappointed because I can’t get it delivered in one piece. But the wire product is great.

This wire has made a big difference in my framing presentations. It’s far better than the non-coated wire I had been using and looks more professional. Will keep using for all my framed prints.
