> 24 hourTraditionally, I love SureFire flashlights. This arrived quickly and is exactly what I expected. I havent used it while hiking yet, but expect this review to stay at 5 stars when I do.

A Likely Story
> 24 hourIve burned up, broken and lost many popular (and unknown) name brand flashlights. My Surefires have never failed me. If your light fails you during one of those seemingly critical times youll never question the extra $ for a Surefire. If you want confidence that your light will work when it REALLY matters, get a Surefire.

> 24 hourIm a firefighter and I have it mounted my helmet. Its very bright on high setting. Low setting works great for close up work as well.

> 24 hourIts a surefire, and you know what that means, whomever is looking into it whether youre mounting it on a gun or just using it around the house, theyre sure to have their retinas melted right out of their sockets. I also enjoy that this model has a softer light setting in case youre not looking to use 6 batteries in one night, and it really makes the batteries last, you know, until its time for retina melting.

> 24 hourPerhaps no other company in the flashlight industry has a track record and renowned named as Surefire. I was in need of a quality handheld and had been hearing only good things about Surefire for many years without having ever owned one. After much research and even considering models twice the price of this one, I went with the Surefire G2X Pro Dual Output LED Flashlight, Black because of so many positive reviews and the fact that it is definitely compatible with the Picatinny Flashlight Mount (also made by Surefire). I am 100% happy with my purchase. Side by side with my old double D-cell cop flashlight this is truly a marvel of technology. Being about 1/3 the length, 2/3 the diameter, the Surefire outperforms it in every way. The G2X Pro has 2 different output levels. The standard one is the low power, and to bump it up to 120 Lumens you simply tap the On button on the rear of the flashlight twice. 120 Lumens doesnt seem like a lot for these kinds of flashlights in this day and age, but having tested it on myself and others, it can certainly be blinding to another person at dark. Summary: Moderately-priced dual-output up to 120 Lumens of Surefire quality. Big bang, small package, low price. Though it may seem more powerful lights could be leaving this one in the dust, it actually holds its own as a very bright all-purpose flashlight that IS compatible with the Surefire Picatinny Flashlight Mount for rifles. 5 stars.

> 24 hourIm a diehard Surefire fan, but I hate the prices... If you are LEO/MIL, you can register for their discount through their web page. It sure makes their stuff more affordable! That said, the Amazon price for this updated G2X is well below even the LEO/MIL discount from Surefire. And its LED, so it (theoretically) should last longer between battery changes! I own three of the older G2 models, two of which have deployed with me, one of them twice. I never had one issue with either light (though I also have a Surefire battery caddy w/ spare lense and six batteries). While I was not a door kicker, I was outside the wire a lot, both in convoy operations and in aircraft. I used these flashlights A LOT over the course of each deployment. Not a single mechanical failure, even in the insane heat during the summers. These three now reside on my AR15s as weapon lights and this new G2X is on my belt. Have I said how much I love these G2 flashlights?? Buy one. Or two. You wont be disappointed (except maybe in battery life, but bright light sucks battery juice...) Oh, and get a caddy and a spare bezel or two...

> 24 hourIncredible and remarkably small flashlight. Solid construction. didnt know if the nitrolon body would be as sturdy as the aluminum, but it is very much up for the task. crazy bright, and hyper efficient. I work as a stage hand, and through a month of shows, it never failed, and is still chugging with the stock batteries it came with. DO NOT SHINE HIGHER THAN WAIST WHEN PEOPLE ARE AROUND. Again, crazy bright. will cause damage, but thats what you get. Highly recommend, even for EDC.

> 24 hourThis flashlight will get the job down, the low output gives you enough light to see whats in front of you. The high output will flood youre entire field of vision with light. Only drawback there is no way to add a strap

> 24 hourSo far so good. I was nervous about it being polymer but honestly when I opened it up I thought theyd goofed and sent me the aluminum version on accident. It seems very tough and wow is it bright. I was torn on whether i wanted the 500 lumen version but I know already that 320 will be plenty. Great little flashlight!

> 24 hourGreat flashlight that is worth every penny. Unfortunately I had to take a star away because the flashlight packaging was not sealed. (The plastic around the large portion of the flashlight looks like it was cut off before being boxed). The flashlight was out of the packaging and loose in the box. The light must have turned on inside the box because the batteries were dead on arrival.
