SureFire G2X Pro Dual-Output LED Flashlight with click switch, Black

I love this flashlight. Good balance. It fits in the hand very comfortably. Uses 2 CR123 Li Ion batteries. This kind of batteries have good shelf life. The chance of leaking is much lower than regular alkaline batteries. They have more power than AA batteries. I bought a few of them to put around the house and in cars. The dual output is very handy. I have never tested the durability by dropping or throwing it across the room intensionally. I also want a few flashlights for emergency use that whenever I pick them up, they will work. But SureFire has this reputation that they want to maintain and I choose to trust it. When the time comes I will see.

Everyone in my family has a SureFire. We got this one for my dad for Christmas and he loves it, never leaves home without it! The low level is great for seeing in your general area and the bright allows us to scan the edge of the yard and woods about 300 ft away - exactly what we needed. I use my bright 2-3 times per day and a set of batteries usually last me 4-7 months, longer for my husband. Not to mention this little flashlight could be used as a self defense tool if needed - very sturdy construction while feeling perfectly balanced in your hand! Ive had mine 5 years and its still going strong!

I am writing this review 3 years after purchasing my first G2X. Ive worked on and off as a delivery driver since 2014, this flashlight was with me every night, and has been used daily, sometimes for close to an hour at a time. It gets hot with lengthy use, but thats not unexpected. The beam is focused, very bright, and goes a good distance. I have since bought 3 other G2X lights, and numerous other Surefire products. Surefire have great customer service, and stand behind their products. The batteries are the worst part, they are pricey, and can be burned up fairly quickly, but this light is worth it.

Im a diehard Surefire fan, but I hate the prices... If you are LEO/MIL, you can register for their discount through their web page. It sure makes their stuff more affordable! That said, the Amazon price for this updated G2X is well below even the LEO/MIL discount from Surefire. And its LED, so it (theoretically) should last longer between battery changes! I own three of the older G2 models, two of which have deployed with me, one of them twice. I never had one issue with either light (though I also have a Surefire battery caddy w/ spare lense and six batteries). While I was not a door kicker, I was outside the wire a lot, both in convoy operations and in aircraft. I used these flashlights A LOT over the course of each deployment. Not a single mechanical failure, even in the insane heat during the summers. These three now reside on my AR15s as weapon lights and this new G2X is on my belt. Have I said how much I love these G2 flashlights?? Buy one. Or two. You wont be disappointed (except maybe in battery life, but bright light sucks battery juice...) Oh, and get a caddy and a spare bezel or two...

Its not as bright as similar Chinese knockoffs but the lumen output is good and the beam pattern is in my opinion more crisp/clear and easier on the users eyes than compared to a 500 lumen Olight or the 900 lumen Klaures which I own both. You definitely feel the better build in your hands. Makes for an excellent primary light for edc or around the house and a great backup light

Good bright flashlight, not a fan of the two sages of brightness and also how you have to get to the two stages. Other than that, easy 4 stars for price and what you get.

This flashlight has two (2) settings when you depress the button on the end. When you first press the end cap button you get standard LED flashlight illumination and when you press the end cap button the second time you get what appears to be almost tripple the illumination of the first light (very bright). When manipulating the flashlight focus, loading and unloading the batteries I found the flashlight had a very strong and precise mechanical feel. I use this flashlight for work and find it to be a well made instrument.

Ive burned up, broken and lost many popular (and unknown) name brand flashlights. My Surefires have never failed me. If your light fails you during one of those seemingly critical times youll never question the extra $ for a Surefire. If you want confidence that your light will work when it REALLY matters, get a Surefire.

This is one of the best lights LED lights Ive owned. Ive been waiting for awhile for surefire to step their LED game up most of the early gen led models were a little over priced for their performance. Ive owned plenty of surefires before but this is first led one Ive purchased. i will start by saying that i am a delivery driver for a very large company, and i was getting upset with how many g2 and 6p bulbs i went through. so i used alot of other brands LED flashlights, many put out a good amount of light but the color was to blue on the light spectrum and it made it really hard for me to read address numbers. This puts out a color much closer to around 4500k and is much easier on the eyes.the g2 series are very durable ive dropped mine plenty of times out of my truck and all of them still work even ran over the 6p with a brown truck. Most standard led, even on reflective address numbers, will get drowned out by the blue is light and blend in. one last thing is with the new led bulbs you can use rechargeable cr123a batteries because of the built in regulator which is great because i go through a set about every other day in the winter time.
