Since this light is so well reviewed and detailed online and in other reviews I will focus on the questions I had prior to purchase but couldnt find answers and some of my experiences with the light that I didnt see elsewhere. 1. Is 15 Lumens too low for regular use considering high is 360? - No, 15 lumens is great for average use. I have no issues with the low level being too low for my needs. 2. Battery life an issue considering the high lumens? – I used the light on a week-long camping trip and primarily used the low setting but frequently used high for very short periods. The batteries are still solid. I bought a back-up set of batteries just in case, but haven’t needed them yet. Some of the things I noticed about the light that I haven’t seen elsewhere: The tail cap switch/button is not as positive as I would expect from Surefire. This was especially true when I was just using the push and hold for momentary light. I played with the spring under the cap a bit and it really improved the issue but it’s still not ideal. Often I end up with the high beam when I dont want it which can blind me when being used close up. The nitrolon body feels like aluminum. I was expecting a rubbery feel based on the description but the body is actually very hard and looks very much like the aluminum head. A nice surprise and alleviates any concerns I had about its future durability. My light has a very small piece of plastic or rubber sticking out of the gap between the head and body. I assume this is some sort of gasket that was displaced when the head was attached to the body. It’s barely noticeable and doesn’t seem to affect performance but clearly is not supposed to be that way and is probably a manufacturing defect. The retail packaging is a real pain to open. I know it helps prevent theft at point of sale and protects the product but I had to work way to hard to get the light out of the packaging. I am really pleased with the light and don’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

lGreat light for the money. I have these on my rifles. The light holds steady through recoil and doesnt flicker like others. Update: I order the Butler Creek size 3 lens caps for this. A few wraps of electric rape and its a perfect fit. Not coming off. No light leaks out. Keeps carbon off lens. If this light is for a rifle, get the cap.

there are two modes: low & very high, which are initiated at the end cap with your thumb by pressing a switch or button. user can alternate quickly fron low to high modes by feathering the switch or button. user can lock onto a mode by pressing the button until you can feel the detent. low was a bit disappointing (4 star) due to being a little too low for any real functionality. but high mode is something else. very, very bright--so bright you can easily light up a dark alley and i mean light it up. i was amazed on how bright this mode is. in this alley are dark car ports, which were easily lit up extremely brightly. well built. it comes with 2 CR 123 batteries. very satisfied with unit. i wish low mode were a tad brighter.

This flashlight has two (2) settings when you depress the button on the end. When you first press the end cap button you get standard LED flashlight illumination and when you press the end cap button the second time you get what appears to be almost tripple the illumination of the first light (very bright). When manipulating the flashlight focus, loading and unloading the batteries I found the flashlight had a very strong and precise mechanical feel. I use this flashlight for work and find it to be a well made instrument.

Ive always wanted a SureFire flashlight, but most of their products are way to expensive. Enter the G2X PRO. It is a budget offering of theirs and honestly it is fantastic. I highly recommend it for those needing a reliable light, but are on a fixed income.

If it is as dependable as everyone says over the long term then it was worth it. Not as bright as some high end lights and doesnt have a piercing beam. But it kicks out a lot of even light over a large area. More useful than my tactical flashlights that have a more concentrated beam. My go to light.

Great flashlight. Ive had it for sometime now. Honestly its over priced BUT it holds up well which matters most. I even have mounted it on a .35 caliber air rifle and it hasnt failed at all. Very bright clean light. Worth what it costs? Well the only reason Id buy again is because junk Chinese lights are bright many way brighter but Ive bought dozens and few last long. This seems to be much better quality and I like the size. I sure dont let the children use it.. otherwise it may be in the black hole of missing stuff.

I now have three and at $50 each that may sound like a bit of money for flashlights. An LED Mag light will cost over $30 and many of those multi-bulb led flashlights will cost $20 and up. And this light is so much brighter than any of the former. In the low output level it still lights up a dark room and so far, almost 3 months since I purchased the first one, I have not had to change batteries. Im sure I will be buying a couple more of these as the few remaining cheapie LEDs die off.

Purchased with the intent of mounting this light on a weapons system; this is an incredible flashlight for the price. Not sure how the lens and bulb will hold up to repeated firing, but for an everyday pocket flashlight, you cant beat it. Strong, tough, and water resistant.
