I went to wipe off perch and got dark red. It was a lot and did not know what it was. My birds nails do not touch the rougher part. Took it out of the cage.

This perch is actually better than the picture and description. I was very impressed by the quality and price. I have an umbrella cockatoo and it fits his feet great, but could also be great for the larger parrots as well.

We adopted our Lilac Crested Amazon Parrot and I honestly couldnt tell you when the last time her nails were trimmed, if ever at all. She isnt crazy about being held so the idea someone could even get one nail trimmed is laughable. Her nails were not only becoming a problem for her but it was becoming increasingly difficult to have her sit on our finger or shoulder – her nails would shred our skin and draw blood. I replaced all her perches with these awesome pedicure perches so our girl was constantly on one. With the flat side up and set up in the morning, by that night our parrots nails were already filed down some! In less than 48 hours we have a parrot that has trimmed nails! I highly recommend this product without hesitation. She loves them and so do we! These perches bring the family together and will save money and trauma to the vet or groomers.

Irregular shape! I have purchased several “sanded” perches in the past, & this is by far the worst. She will not go near it

Really feels more like painted concrete, and its heavier than actual pumice. I dont see it being abrasive enough to trim nails as the coating on it dulls the surface.

Great size for my two budgies. They love it and are perched on it all the time. Easy to install!

Maybe it was the bright color. My bird was afraid of it even after 3 weeks.

Our bird LOVES this. Will sit outside more often if she sees it on the cage.
