I write up a lot of things with 5 stars because they deliver on their promises, are solid and provide good bang for the buck. But occasionally I get blown out of the water by a product and this is one of those cases. Sufficient research both on Amazon and YouTube told me that the product would vacuum well and I knew I wouldn’t be getting all the attachments or an extra battery. The only thing I was a bit concerned about was the overall robustness. While it’s not indestructible, it’s no wimp either. It should hold up well over the long haul. However, the thing that blew me away was the quietness of the unit. I could carry on a conversation with a speaker phone and I don’t think it would bother someone on the other end. I’ve tried the different levels but for our tile floors the automatic mode does quite well. I think the head designed for tile and hardwood floors would be even better but that’s more of a luxury than a need. We’ve had robots, corded bags and bag less vacuums over the years but this does better than any of them (eat your heart out Rumba, Kirby, and Hoover). Dyson could be slightly better but not the hundreds of dollars more they change.

So I started off with a bottom of the line Moosoo XL-618A stick vacuum for $119.99 and fell in love with stick vacuums (my apartment is mainly hard floor). My son actually broke it by stepping on the stick and snapping it in half. So I needed to get a new stick vacuum. My friend went and got a Moosoo 250W Upgrade Motor 6-in-1 vacuum for $159.99 and the vacuum came with attachments (hose). So I tried out my friends vacuum and was impressed with the suction and the fact it came with attachments. I wanted to do my homework and get the best possible vacuum but not spend the $500-700 on a Dyson. I researched stick vacuums and Tineco kept coming up as a highly recommended stick vacuum, so after researching and reading a ton of reviews I spent close to $300 on a stick vacuum. First let me say I dont think this Tineco is a bad vacuum, I just dont think you should have to pay $300 for something you could get at half that price. The vacuum itself is beautiful, never thought I would say that about a vacuum but it is. I love that the charger is a docking station and you dont have to plug in the vacuum everytime your done with it, you just place it on the docking station and it charges. The suction is good but the battery doesnt last long at all when you put it on the highest speed. I dont think you can find a stick vacuum with great suction power and a long lasting battery which is why I believe if you pay the high price for this vacuum you should get an extra battery or at the very least some attachments. The wheels squeak when you push it around, the highest speed is kinda noisy and it doesnt pick up bigger pieces of debris. If you have a chip on the floor you have to crush the chip to get the vacuum to pick it up. Overall I like the vacuum what I am trying to say is that I believe this vacuum is overpriced and it should come with an extra battery. Works just as good as the Moosoo 250W 6-in-1 for $159.99 and I would learn to plug in my vacuum and do without the docking station for $150 cheaper.

Update to my Update: I emailed customer service in hopes for one last ditch effort- I wanted to love this vacuum still. I did receive a reply within 24 hours asking for the usual model #, proof of purchase date, a video of the issues, etc. In my haste and busy lifestyle I put that on my list of to-dos and didn’t earnestly get this done. I started a hunt for a new vacuum instead as I really needed one that did well on carpets as we have two rooms with thick carpet. I hade given up on this little stick gem. I say gave up, because the problem was really me, not the vacuum! The “battery” would die within 2 minutes of use, even when fully charged or even when the battey was changed out for a alternate battery. The red lights would flash and I assumed it was the vacuum was a dud. I thought I maintained it well- emptied the bin, flushed out clogs in the rollers or in the tubes, but I didn’t clean and wash the upper filter often. THAT was the issue! I sat down and found my manual that explained the error lights and shutting down could be from clogs and have nothing to do with the battery. I did a major cleaning, including washing the filters and leaving it off the charger for 24 hours for everything to dry and re-set and recharged her. Whatya know! She worked like new! I’m ashamed and pleased at the same time. I didn’t expect a clogged filter to behave like a failed battery. So if you’re having “charging” issues do a full maintenance and try again. It may not be your battery at all. This vacuum is great for my mostly tile and hardwood floors. It gets under furniture and tables very well. It’s good for quick spills and stairs. It does a good “once over” on carpets and rugs, but I’d still use a heavy duty vac for carpets for deep cleans and pet hair. I’m giving it 4 stars for the lack of deep carpet cleaning, but it’s not realistic to think a stick vacuum would perform the same. It is a good vacuum and I love having it plugged into it’s wall stand in the hallway where I need it both “out of the way, but always accessible.” Don’t give up too easily on this little vacuum. It’s powerful and reliable if you take care of it and follow the manual and maintain it adequately. Update: After having this for about six months, I hate this vacuum. I even bought a second battery for this so I could switch it out and keep going. As if! It lasts about 5-6 min on a full charge and when I go to switch out to the other battery, it’s never charged! The too sectioned of the charger has an extra port so you can charge the vacuum and the extra battery at the same time, but it doesn’t charge the top one. It’s like you have to charge the vacuum with the battery and then remember to switch out the battery and put the back up one in and charge it again. I don’t know why it can’t charge both at the same time! The tube often gets clogged and requires constant cleaning. I understand that vacuums need constant maintenance, but stopping 3 times for one room is excessive. I’ve begun to hate vacuuming because of the poor performance of this vacuum. For the very high price I expected it to work better. The extra battery was an additional small fortune. I might have well bought a dyson. I regret my purchase. I love my new vacuum!!! I especially love vacuuming my stairs. I’ve never had a stick vacuum and I must say I’ve been missing out! I love that my vacuum is hanging on my wall easily accessible and I don’t have to hunt for a plug and move the plug to every room. I LOVE that it is so light. I feel motivated to use it for the smallest messes because it’s so light and accessible. I confess…I’ve used it on my counters and dinning table to get crumbs with the handheld version. I mean why not? I bought the extra battery pack because I wanted the security of knowing I could keep going if I needed to, but surprisingly I have never used it! The battery lasts well enough to do my downstairs just fine, even on high. I use it every day to do a quick run around to get my entryway and kitchen and where the dogs come in from the doggie door. I do have one complaint though… whom ever designed this did NOT consider left handedness. It’s obnoxious that if I’m using my left hand to vacuum I keep turning it off. The, how-do-I-say, lever? keeps turning off because it’s designed to be held by a right-handed person. You have to be a left handed person to explain but you have to be conscious of the “on” lever when you’re using your left hand. I wish they had a design that would “latch” instead.

The vacuum is easy to use . Not heavy or too loud. I love the fact that it lights up on the floor with an LED light and you can see the dirt the dust you may have missed. I would love for them to have each attachment have a light, because sometimes you have to get into those tight corners behind furniture a light would help!

As an engineer I prefer German and American designs and products. This is the first time I have purchased a Chinese product that I would highly recommend. After researching a vacuum that would meet my needs, I came across the Tineco brand which has earned recommendations from Consumer Reports and Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for one of the best in class products. I have used this product for over a month now and can see that it lives up to its reputation. This is not some cheap Dyson knock-off (Ive owned 3 so far). In fact it has a small feature with big results - led lights on the vacuum head. These leds highlight my German Shepherds loose hair on dark hard flooring easily. Something that I miss easily with my corded Dyson. The Tineco has 3 vacuum power settings with the lowest setting as default. I have only used the highest setting for larger objects (pea gravel my dog tracks in) and on my area rugs. In this setting, it rivals my corded Dyson in cleaning. The variable vacuum power settings extend the battery life and the charger provides quick charging (with visual indicators for charging status). The Tineco comes with several attachments with some of them powered. The powered attachments are surprisingly articulated and maneuver well around and under objects. This dirt collection bin pops open easily for cleaning and the filter has a good chromed surface that sheds dirt with no problem. Filter pops out with a quick twist of the wrist to assist with dirt disposal- especially useful for the aforementioned long dog hair. As it is extremely light weight, I can use it on stairs easily or for cleaning cobwebs from my vaulted ceiling using one hand. I find myself only using the Dyson once a week when cleaning the entire house as it has a larger dirt collection bin. I would highly recommend this product.

This vacuum was fine, had it for a year and it worked okay but not nearly as well as our old corded vacuum - maybe thats not a fair comparison? We have a few larger higher pile area rugs and it just never seemed like it got them that clean and also tended to push things around on the hardwood but for the price and for a wand vacuum seemed like a fair compromise. After having it a year it suddenly lost suction so now we need a new vacuum - warranty claim process looks cumbersome, would like a replacement.

First, the Tineco a11 is a huge improvement over my corded canister vacuum. (Now retired) A week before it arrived, I vacuumed all my area rugs and hardwood floors. When the Tineco arrived, I charged it up and went right to work. The clear canister showed an abundant amount of dust, hair, and particles left behind. I tried all the accessories; all are easy to attach and work well. The filter cleaner is a well thought out item, and works easy. Some hints: empty the vacuum outside the house if possible into the garbage. You end up with a lot of debris and it’s a bit messy when it falls out. If your mounting the holder on a wall use toggle bolts into the sheetrock, unless you find the wall studs. The unit is a bit heavy with the main body/battery, tube and full-size power brush. The on/off motion could loosen wall anchors. My only criticism (4-star rating) is the battery. This unit comes with only one and they are a bit pricey. I don’t know how many charges to expect. For the price, after research, it’s the best deal.

Use for quick cleaning when I dont want to drag out corded vac.Like the adjustable suction for lighter fabrics and rugs. Bought this to use on stairs .Is ok for that but not as well as I had hopedbut the carpet is that old 70s sculpted nylon carpet thats pretty worn .Is easier than using corded upright.. Wish it had a extendable wand to help us shortys reach high spots.would be handy to have another holder on rack to store the filter cleaning tool
