> 3 dayLove the variety of colors. Easy to mix colors and came with everything needed but the shirts. I would definitely buy it again. Bought them for my 8 year olds birthday party and had tons of dye left over. Goes a long way!

> 3 dayWow, this set made tie dye as simple and fun as possible - but also produced results that exceeded our expectations! We were all surprised and impressed by the designs that came out. This set comes with 18 squeeze bottles of colored dye powder. Each bottle is marked with a fill-to line, and you just have to add water and shake to turn the powder to dye. The bottles have a narrow nozzle that makes applying the dye easy to control. The colors are a really nice mix and are all super vibrant. Everything you need for the actual tie dye process is included - rubber bands to hold your shirts in place, and table cloths/covers to prevent the dye from getting onto surfaces. Theres a cool little instruction pamphlet with clear instructions on how to achieve different popular tie dye designs (simple swirl, etc.) that helped us get nice results.

Greater than one weekI have bought this kit 3 times now, and I love it! Colors stay bright after multiple washes (in cold or eco-warm-just because thats what I usually run the washer on). I made burp/spit up rags and crib sheets with the first batch so they have spent quite a bit of time in the washer, not to mention that I have soaked them in Oxyclean and it doesnt ruin the colors. The first 2 pictures are all the items I did with one single kit this last time (dont mind the gag gift boxers LOL). The final picture is from when I first tried this kit 15 months ago and it has survived well through all the washings and the Oxyclean soaks. I do suggest cotton fabric but I noticed that some brands put a thin waxy coating on their fabrics to keep it clean for shipping, so I just wash them on warm with just a little detergent and dry them before binding them. I had no problems with the brands Haines or Fruit of the Loom and didnt prewash them, but had to massage it a bit as I dyed them for full saturation. Heres what I did: 1) I rubber band the fabrics I want to dye with the rubber bands included in the kit, but I also pick up an extra package or two of rubber bands just to make the designs more intricate. 2) I fill each bottle with half the needed amount of water, replace the caps and shake well to dissolve all powder because sometimes the powder can get stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Then I fill the bottles up the rest of the way and shake again. WEAR GLOVES even at this stage or you will have to scrub for days to get it off your skin- like I did, which made my job interview the next day a bit awkward. Hah. ALSO, leave the bottles standing or tilted upright once filled as they tend to leak laying down. 3) I lay out an old plastic shower curtain out in the yard in the shade, get comfortable with a drink and go to town- I use paper towels to wipe up spilled dye between switching colors so it doesnt transfer to other parts of my fabric. I work from lightest dye to darkest on each binded garmet. Also, if I noticed the dye was beading on the fabric and dripping off without absorbing, I just go slow and easy on the dye, and use a gloved finger to massage it in a bit so it will soak into the fabric then it would easily accept the dye when I add some more on. 4) I put all the projects in a tightly knotted plastic garbage bag and leave them in the shaded garage overnight. 5)The next day, I snip the rubber bands and use the garden hose to rinse out and wring out all of the garments. I suggest using running water from a hose or faucet instead of rinsing them in some sort of prefilled tub or basin to keep the white parts from soaking up leftover dye and being less vibrant. 6) I hang them out to dry fully for a few hours, then I machine wash them on delicate, cold water with an extra rinse and spin. After first initial washing, I just toss them in with the rest of the laundry (except whites of course) and I have had no issues yet. Hope this helps!

02-04-2025This is so easy! No need for any soda ash. I even did them dry so the dye would really take with bold colors. You just add water to the dye and the bottles have colored tops so you know which color is which. Came with lots of gloves, tons of rubber bands, and a great instruction sheet with lots of ideas. Shirts turned out fantastic! Very happy. Only thing that is questionable is that the replacement dye packs are $35 on Amazon, so much more than the kit itself. Why?

> 3 dayWe had so much fun with this tie-dye kit! It was easy to use and we were able to dye so many shirts with it! The only problem I had was getting the dye off my hands, especially my nails. The gloves provided in the kit dont fit well or stay on so you may want to use better gloves if youre worried about dyeing your hands.

> 3 dayVery easy and convinient to use. I highly recommend putting gloves on when filling the bottles with water. The colors do stick wellmon cotton clothing. We used almost all the bottles except repeat colors for 3 adults and 2 children and had about 3 articles of clothing each, not including socks. Still had leftsovers that can be used for a second round. I do like this brand and would purchase again in the future.

> 3 dayWe had a lot of fun! There was plenty of dye for 11 shirts with some left over. It was nice that the kit included gloves, rubber bands, and a big piece of plastic to protect your work area. Some of the dye bottles leaked but it wasnt that big of a deal.

> 3 dayMy niece is a crafty kid and I try to do my best to encourage her artistically. At first I was unsure about this but she mixed her own dye color and colored a beautiful pair of jeans. They turned out wonderfully

Greater than one weekmy work gives out seasonal sweaters during the holidays that are just 100% cotton sweat shirts with our company logo on them, but we wear them nonetheless. I wanted to give the girls on my crew some flare to our uniforms so I used this kit on a couple of old sweaters we had. they came out so good! now we can match at work, and stand out a little from other stores. I used this kit with the crumple method, pre-wet them, dyed them and let them sit in a plastic bag over night. I rinsed them out in my sink until the water was clear and threw them in a (laundromat) washer and dried them, they came out wonderfully! I also died them a single diluted color first to make sure I wasnt getting any white in my final sweaters. i squirted a little dye in a big bucket with about a liter of water in it and squished the sweaters around before squeezing the excess water out, bundling them up, and dying them. this gives them a soft base color for your bright saturated colors. I also kept like-colors together to prevent browning.

> 3 dayThis is the second Tulip kit I have purchased through Amazon. I was so impressed with the first one. The first one had less colors, but more dye of each color. This set had 18 colors, but the amount of each color was less. If you want to do tie dyed shirt for a party, then either one of these kits will do. They both have everything you need. The gloves, the rubber bands, etc. All you have to do is bring the shirt (or other item you want to dye) and add water to the bottles. We all made shirts and they turns out GREAT! Really. This is worth the price. I know sometimes they go on sale, but even paying $20 was totally worth it. I highly recommend. If I ever want to do anymore tie dying in the future, Tulip has my business.
