> 3 dayVery easy and convinient to use. I highly recommend putting gloves on when filling the bottles with water. The colors do stick wellmon cotton clothing. We used almost all the bottles except repeat colors for 3 adults and 2 children and had about 3 articles of clothing each, not including socks. Still had leftsovers that can be used for a second round. I do like this brand and would purchase again in the future.

> 3 dayThe colors turned out great! I did soak the sweatshirt overnight in the dye. I do think if you are going to use for a hoodie you should buy 2 of these sets as I did not have enough of each color. Leaving more white than I wanted. Overall the color has held up and I am pleased with the outcome.

> 3 dayI went into this expecting less but with high hopes. I gathered up the piles of stained clothes from my kids and let my 4 year old help pick designs and colors. I’ve been planning to tie dye for awhile and had a company in mind but the shipping kills me. (Thanks, Amazon.) I also am not very experienced so I wanted something cheap in case it all went terribly. I did a wet dye, no soak, and left everything overnight. I rinsed with the hose, let dry, rinsed again, and then through it in my washer for a couple of cycles. I have had no clothes ruined after adding them to my regular laundry and I do not use color catchers. Everything so easy to use, the designs had helpful tips and suggestions, and I had pretty much everything that I needed. I had a lot of fun doing this and seeing the designs when all was done Like other reviewers, I did find that the muslin swaddles weren’t as bold as some of the other things but that’s alright for what I wanted. I’ll totally buy this kit when I want to tie dye again and have been recommending it to everyone.

> 3 dayOk, so after watching a few other items availability dates fluctuate, I finally pulled the trigger on this set! My son (5) has been begging to do tie dye for awhile now and I cant believe Ive never done it myself. Great instructions inside, but the selection of colors and number of bottles made this kit the winner. The shirts we did are fairly bright, however weve only washed once. We let the color set overnight, but for the next round, well probably use a bit more color and let them sit longer.

> 3 dayColors were vivid and easy to saturate shirts, enough for multiple sessions!

Greater than one weekThis is a cute package but does not make as many as it says, but we expected that so we also bought Tulip 34723 One-Step Tie Dye Party Kit. We made 35 shirts between the two kits and probably had enough dye left to make 2-4 more shirts. These are size ratio we died: Y M - 8, Y L - 4, Y XL - 2, A S - 6, A M - 6, A L - 2, A XL - 6, A 2XL - 1. We did use the table cloth( but we also bought more), our older girls (probably 7th grade and up and adults) used the gloves, we bought smaller ones for the younger girls. We never used any of the rubber bands, as we bought a loose pack of multi size and shape ones for a few bucks and that worked great (these are all bounded together in the box) This would work good for a small party or around 15 people. We really like the instructional color fold out that the girls could use to make their shirts. We left them sit for about 12 hours, they turned out very good. Girls did them pretty much all on their own grades k-11th. We recommend the WET method of soaking in cold water first before dying.

> 3 dayI have bought this kit 3 times now, and I love it! Colors stay bright after multiple washes (in cold or eco-warm-just because thats what I usually run the washer on). I made burp/spit up rags and crib sheets with the first batch so they have spent quite a bit of time in the washer, not to mention that I have soaked them in Oxyclean and it doesnt ruin the colors. The first 2 pictures are all the items I did with one single kit this last time (dont mind the gag gift boxers LOL). The final picture is from when I first tried this kit 15 months ago and it has survived well through all the washings and the Oxyclean soaks. I do suggest cotton fabric but I noticed that some brands put a thin waxy coating on their fabrics to keep it clean for shipping, so I just wash them on warm with just a little detergent and dry them before binding them. I had no problems with the brands Haines or Fruit of the Loom and didnt prewash them, but had to massage it a bit as I dyed them for full saturation. Heres what I did: 1) I rubber band the fabrics I want to dye with the rubber bands included in the kit, but I also pick up an extra package or two of rubber bands just to make the designs more intricate. 2) I fill each bottle with half the needed amount of water, replace the caps and shake well to dissolve all powder because sometimes the powder can get stuck to the bottom of the bottle. Then I fill the bottles up the rest of the way and shake again. WEAR GLOVES even at this stage or you will have to scrub for days to get it off your skin- like I did, which made my job interview the next day a bit awkward. Hah. ALSO, leave the bottles standing or tilted upright once filled as they tend to leak laying down. 3) I lay out an old plastic shower curtain out in the yard in the shade, get comfortable with a drink and go to town- I use paper towels to wipe up spilled dye between switching colors so it doesnt transfer to other parts of my fabric. I work from lightest dye to darkest on each binded garmet. Also, if I noticed the dye was beading on the fabric and dripping off without absorbing, I just go slow and easy on the dye, and use a gloved finger to massage it in a bit so it will soak into the fabric then it would easily accept the dye when I add some more on. 4) I put all the projects in a tightly knotted plastic garbage bag and leave them in the shaded garage overnight. 5)The next day, I snip the rubber bands and use the garden hose to rinse out and wring out all of the garments. I suggest using running water from a hose or faucet instead of rinsing them in some sort of prefilled tub or basin to keep the white parts from soaking up leftover dye and being less vibrant. 6) I hang them out to dry fully for a few hours, then I machine wash them on delicate, cold water with an extra rinse and spin. After first initial washing, I just toss them in with the rest of the laundry (except whites of course) and I have had no issues yet. Hope this helps!
