This is a cute package but does not make as many as it says, but we expected that so we also bought Tulip 34723 One-Step Tie Dye Party Kit. We made 35 shirts between the two kits and probably had enough dye left to make 2-4 more shirts. These are size ratio we died: Y M - 8, Y L - 4, Y XL - 2, A S - 6, A M - 6, A L - 2, A XL - 6, A 2XL - 1. We did use the table cloth( but we also bought more), our older girls (probably 7th grade and up and adults) used the gloves, we bought smaller ones for the younger girls. We never used any of the rubber bands, as we bought a loose pack of multi size and shape ones for a few bucks and that worked great (these are all bounded together in the box) This would work good for a small party or around 15 people. We really like the instructional color fold out that the girls could use to make their shirts. We left them sit for about 12 hours, they turned out very good. Girls did them pretty much all on their own grades k-11th. We recommend the WET method of soaking in cold water first before dying.

Id wanted to tie dye for ages, so I finally buckled down and bought a kit. The bottles were smaller then I thought they would be, but there were plenty of colour choices, and they had a lot of product in them. I ended up making 10 pairs of socks, 2 scrub tops, a cami, and a full sized sheet set. The colours were vibrant, and the squeeze bottles were easy to use. I wish the instructions that came with them were more than just pictures, but I did my best. I appreciated the drop cloth, rubber bands, and gloves that came with the kit. Too bad I was too stubborn to use the gloves. My one complaint is that I wish there were slightly fewer pink/blue based colours and some more yellow. Because a lot of my projects needed something lighter and brighter, and I ran out of yellow and neon green quickly. Other than that, great kit.

Ok, so after watching a few other items availability dates fluctuate, I finally pulled the trigger on this set! My son (5) has been begging to do tie dye for awhile now and I cant believe Ive never done it myself. Great instructions inside, but the selection of colors and number of bottles made this kit the winner. The shirts we did are fairly bright, however weve only washed once. We let the color set overnight, but for the next round, well probably use a bit more color and let them sit longer.

Overall, I was really satisfied with this kit. The variety of color was great, and the vibrancy of the shirt has lasted through several washes. The kit included everything I could need. It was all super convenient and easy. My only small complaint was that it was hard to seal the bottles completely, or maybe that some water with dye spilled over as I was filling them in the sink, because when I shook them up to mix the dye, a little spatter would escape each time. However, I had no problems with that while I was actually using the bottles to squirt dye, so it really wasnt a big deal. Besides, you gotta expect tie dye to be messy. I would definitely recommend this kit.

Great dyes that one can use with all the family. Each little bottle, when filled up to the line, gives the shirts strong colors. But they are small, so they run out pretty quickly depending on how many shirts one does. One packet allowed us to make about 5-7 shirts (depending on the style you want/how much dye you use). You can also add more water when a color starts to run low, but just be aware since it’s watered down, it may not come out as dark. Also, make sure to use gloves and use a plastic sheet underneath whatever you dye because it will stain your hands/nails for about 1-2 days. Something that came with a previous packet of tie dye were plastic containers (like the to-go boxes). When we finished our shirts, we then placed them inside of the containers and put them in the microwave for about a minute or two to let the color seep in deeper with the steam/heat. Just be careful because it will be hot when it comes out. After we just let it cool down and then rinsed and wash the shirts. Some color does wash away.

One of the bottles had a whole in the bottom. The contents of the box was covered in dye powder, I thought it was powder from the packaging at facility. Once I put water in the bottle, dye starting leaking all over my kitchen. Still used the ready of them, but what a mess and a waste of one of the colors.

These were great! They were used with about 25 children, grades ranging all the way from Pre-K to 5th grade (with some adult assistance for younger kids obviously). We gave them a limit of 2-3 colors per person, so it was just enough for our big group. The kids had so much fun for about 40 minutes. They were able to get creative with their patterns and colors. Some of them bunched up the t-shirt for the pattern, while some kids used a brush to design their t shirt. I printed out instructions for each kid of how to take care of the shirt before their first wear, and put it in a ziplock to take home. They came out great! So easy and so fun. T-shirts are often on sale at AC Moore (about $2 a shirt) so it was a very affordable project with an actually usable keepsake at the end of it!

I went into this expecting less but with high hopes. I gathered up the piles of stained clothes from my kids and let my 4 year old help pick designs and colors. I’ve been planning to tie dye for awhile and had a company in mind but the shipping kills me. (Thanks, Amazon.) I also am not very experienced so I wanted something cheap in case it all went terribly. I did a wet dye, no soak, and left everything overnight. I rinsed with the hose, let dry, rinsed again, and then through it in my washer for a couple of cycles. I have had no clothes ruined after adding them to my regular laundry and I do not use color catchers. Everything so easy to use, the designs had helpful tips and suggestions, and I had pretty much everything that I needed. I had a lot of fun doing this and seeing the designs when all was done Like other reviewers, I did find that the muslin swaddles weren’t as bold as some of the other things but that’s alright for what I wanted. I’ll totally buy this kit when I want to tie dye again and have been recommending it to everyone.

This kit is simply amazing. I dont often write reviews, but depend on them when purchasing products so I thought I would lend my endorsement to this wonderful kit. It was so simply to use and had an enormous amount of dye and everything you would need for almost any size of project. I had to dye book bags for my class and hadnt ever tie dyed before so I was hesitant. The directions were simple, colors were gorgeous and the process was flawless. I was shocked! I was able to dye 25 cavas book bags and four mens t-shirts, but we ended up discarding all the extra dye so, honestly, we could have even done a larger project. I purchased two kits, but will save the other for next years students. What a great product and a wonderful value. Plus...it was really fun!

This kit comes with a bunch of colors, gloves, rubber bands and a table cover. We had so much fun with this, and our projects turned out so cool, I have bought this set 5 times and I will keep buying it as often as my kids want to do tie dye. Only thing it doesnt come with are your shirts, or whatever you want to dye. Weve done blankets and pillow cases as well. Our first shirts have been washed a dozen times and are holding their color well! You wont be disappointed!
