Im going to start this off by saying, that like everyone, I think my family needed something to do that was fun and productive during the start of the pandemic. I ordered this set and some shirts and as a family, we were gonna have a tiedye day. It went well. I mixed the colors and we all got to work. We followed the instructions, and everyone was happy with their creations. We let them sit like we were supposed to, rinsed them and washed them. The only shirt that turned out like it was supposed to, was mine. Everyone elses shirts ended up almost washing completely out. I used Blue and Yellow. Purple and black was used, and green and black, and all the other colors on one shirt... I dont know what happened or why it didnt work as effectively. Maybe its a user error? We all did it the same thing, so Im truly baffled. Id buy this again with the intention of SOAKING the fabric in color, in hopes that it would stay in the fabric.

This is a really great product. Color is bold and vibrant Tips: - Pre-mix the dye and let the powder dissolve in the water for at least an hour. - Wear all black when doing this or clothes you dont mind getting some dye on. - Do not wash these garments with other clothes for at least a few washes. Some dye comes off after each wash. - Try to keep the whole dye and rise process outside with use of a hose if possible. It makes clean up much easier. - If you are dying with lots of people gets multiple packs. I used this pack to dye 8 garments. - You will dye your hands. Keep plastic gloves on for all parts of the process.

Gloves were huge and strange. Most of the colors looked great but a couple didn’t look like the color it was supposed to be.

Very easy and convinient to use. I highly recommend putting gloves on when filling the bottles with water. The colors do stick wellmon cotton clothing. We used almost all the bottles except repeat colors for 3 adults and 2 children and had about 3 articles of clothing each, not including socks. Still had leftsovers that can be used for a second round. I do like this brand and would purchase again in the future.

My boyfriend loves his tie dyed Bombas socks but you can’t get them anymore. So, I ordered white ones and got this kit to do our own. I washed them first, then soaked them in soda ash solution for 20 minutes (bought a small package of it at Walmart) and then applied the colors. The little squirt bottles made it easy to apply the color. Sure, some leaked a little bit, but not bad. I put each pair of socks in a separate ziplock bag and let them set up for around 2 hrs. Then I rinsed heavily with cold water until water ran clear then took off rubber bands. Once rubber bands were removed I rinsed again until water was clear. Now time to wash them all. I love how the colors came out. I would definitely recommend this kit. It does say to let the color sit on the item for 6-7 hrs. Because I soaked in soda ash first I didn’t feel this was necessary. Also, be careful not to let items touch one another after you rinse and remove rubber bands. The colors can bleed until they’ve been washed a few times.

This is a GR8 beginner kit, until youre ready to invest hundreds of $$ in large quantities of dyes and all the goodies that youll need, and you dont have to use every bottle at one time. The plastic table cloth and Lots rubber bands came in very handy, and while I have my own rubber gloves that fit better, I used the ones enclosed. I learned that you should check the gloves for holes before starting. I got my white cotton clothes And got in the mood to kreate. I started off by adding water to 5 different color bottles and by overlapping some of the colors while I was applying them, I was able to get some other shades. As per the instructions, you wrap the wet, dyed items in plastic for several hours, so I used part of the plastic table cloth and that worked very well. Using only those 5 bottles, I dyed 3 pair of thick tiny infant socks, a short sleeve onesie for a 1 year old, a short sleeve t~shirt for a 4 year old (on the thin side) and a t~shirt for an 8 year old (on the thick side) and everything was well saturated, as it should be. I kind of wish Id taken a look at some videos on YouTube on tie~dye techniques, which I will most likely do next time, but I also figured some things out After I took the rubber bands off, like use the rubber banded areas as the line to change colors. In any case, as an 8 year old little girl trapped in the body of a 57 year old woman, I had a lot of fun (and so did Karlo, who was keeper of the box).

The instructions were clear and they show several ideas on things you can do with the dyes plus I found that the elastics can be used a few times not just the one time... the kit comes with easy to use prefilled with dye power bottles plenty of elastics gloves and plastic sheeting for surface protection just add water thats it

This was one of my favorite Amazon purchases. The tie dye was easy to prepare and use. The colors came out beautifully. My friends and I are ready to buy another set and dye more things. The only thing I would change about the kit are the gloves. They were big and unwieldy, we swapped them out for better fitting gloves.
