> 24 hourSimply put, this product rocks!!!! My VMWare fusion 2 & 3 was slow and sluggish and was incompatible OSX 10.7 (LION) for MAC. VMWare fusion 4 installed and after an updated my VMs ran much smoother and more efficiently than ever.

> 24 hourI have been using this product for over 6 months now. It is functional in the sense that it does allow you to run Windows on a Mac but it sometimes takes several minutes for this program to load on a Nov 2011 MacBook Pro (with plenty of memory and plenty of hard drive space available). I need this program (or one of its competitors) to allow me to run a Windows only program (Minitab) on my Mac. I read good things about the newer version of this program being faster and I am more than willing to pay to upgrade to the newer version. My one and only reservation is I dont want to have to spend all the time and find all the activation codes to reinstall Windows, my anti-virus software, and Minitab on my Mac. I have repeatedly written to and called VMware trying to get one simple question answered - will upgrading to Fusion 5 require me to reinstall all my Windows based software or will it simply keep what is already installed on my Mac without me having to spend the time to reinstall everything?

> 24 hourThis software is junk! Ive spent hours trying to get it to work, and contacted support after two failed migration attempts. Support has been slow and unhelpful to date. Im left with a wast of time and money.

> 24 hourI used this with a 2011 iMac for years. It is a way to access Windows from a Mac without rebooting into the Windows Bootcamp partition. It allowed Windows to run side by side with OSX, so you could have the best of both systems without a reboot. The downside was that if you updated the Mac OS, you often got hit with an upgrade charge from the software to be able to use it on the new OS. My current M1 Mac doesnt support VM Ware Fusion, which is unfortunate.

> 24 hourThis product worked as advertised to enable most Windows apps to run on Mac OSX Lion. Its a bit complex to install, but once you get it working, most Windows apps will work.

> 24 hourI found the download from disc much more difficult to handle than the free trial that I used first. It still does not work correctly, I had to load Windows twice to get it to work without freezing up it works but not as well as I had hoped.

> 24 hourIve done the Boot Camp thing but its just too cumbersome to reboot every time I need to run a Windows program for work. Fusion lets me run Windows side by side, and I like it. My Windows-only peripherals work on it too, so its an easy way for me to access them from the Mac side of things, especially using the Unity mode which lets me keep a single Windows application open in an otherwise Mac OS. Some of the animations and graphics are a little superfluous, but overall I like it and it runs great on my 2011 i7 iMac.

> 24 hourIf you want to experiment with Linux, GNU, etc. Ran WinXP, Win7, Ubuntu, the performance is good, I have not tried gaming. I guess you could do Boot Camp to get better performance if needed. I need to run windows mainly because I didnt want to purchase Quicken Mac.
