> 3 dayI used this with a 2011 iMac for years. It is a way to access Windows from a Mac without rebooting into the Windows Bootcamp partition. It allowed Windows to run side by side with OSX, so you could have the best of both systems without a reboot. The downside was that if you updated the Mac OS, you often got hit with an upgrade charge from the software to be able to use it on the new OS. My current M1 Mac doesnt support VM Ware Fusion, which is unfortunate.

> 3 daySo I couldnt use it. That was disappointing. I will update the review if and when I upgrade my system, but for the time being, I didnt expect this incompatibility for a relatively new computer.

> 3 dayThis pertains to Fusion 4.1 on a recent MacBookPro. The program does what it is supposed to do but I cant help thinking BootCamp would work just as well and I may uninstall Fusion to see for myself. It takes at least 30 seconds for Fusion to start running Windows7 and I have to double click twice to get anything to run. Even after increasing installed RAM to 8 and allocating more to Windows some things are slow, especially video. It is easy to screw up the display if you click the wrong icon on the bar. Tech support from Fusion is not bad but not great either, depends on who you get, assuming you call during support hours, 6a-6p west coast time. There is NO written documentation nor is there a PDF on Fusions website. When I suggested they write up something I got silence. You can wander through Fusions online database if you have some time to kill but some of the answers I found there were wrong. Like I said, try BootCamp first.

> 3 dayI upgraded from fusion 3 and wish I hadnt. Outside of faster boot times, I cant tell the difference in performance, but lost USB support and it no longer automatically releases the mouse when you try to move out of the VMWare window.
