> 3 dayI have been using VM Ware Fusion for several years now and like its smooth installation and performance. Operating systems such as Windows XP, Win 7, Linux, have each installed smoothly the first time. Would recommend.

> 3 dayThis barely worked out of the box. Clunky and slow, drops out in the middle of projects.

Greater than one weekI switched to MacBook Pro from PC laptops (Windows) about 2 years ago and at this time Ive got nothing running on Windows that I need anymore. What does this have to do with this product? Not much except Ive now uninstalled it - so I think its a fair comment to say that these bootcamp type solutions are being needed less and less these days. At least, thats my experience. But if you need one, this works fine - no issues.

Greater than one weekI have decided that the low cost of a small laptop that comes with Windows 8 already loaded is a better option than running an additional OS that also costs money on my iMac. I never knew where I was with FUSION 4 and disliked the uncertainty. Let each OS do its own thing.

> 3 dayIm using VMware on my mid-2010 Macbook Pro running a 2.4GHz Core i5 processor and 4GB of RAM. I installed Windows 7 in the VWware environment. Overall, Windows is running great and practically seamless with VMware. My Macbook does run a little warmer and causes the fans to spin faster and louder, but its not that big a difference. My favorite feature is being able to associate a Windows-only application, such as Windows Media Player, to its particular file extension in Mac OS X (so if I click a WMV file in Mac, then it will open up in Windows Media Player through VMware)

Greater than one weekIn rating these two products, my opinions are based on Experience with Installation, configuration, migration, and conversion on a new iMAC running Lion OS (16 gig RAM) and BOTH Software packages.
