> 3 dayThe product is awesome. It is a super lightweight SSD for my personal used. The cable is too short but other than that, everything is awesome so far.

> 3 dayThis is a great ssd, light and fast, without moving components like normal external hdds that can get scratched or wrecked. If you want a high quality drive to back up to once and then retrieve quickly later with good life expectancy, this is a great bet (if you are over-writing daily or weekly, you probably should skip SSDs). It is, however, pretty expensive. That said, its fairly comparable to similar drives and Western Digital has a long track record of quality. It just is maybe worth looking for this on sale if your need is longer term and not immediate.

> 3 dayMuch smaller in size than expected... and much much lighter .. works perfectly and super fast.. Have a look at the pic to see actual size.. about 3 inches tall and practically weightless, I think the included cable weighs more ;) Im definitely going to buy a couple more of these and back up all my data from my older hard disks before they die on me.

> 3 dayI wasnt expecting this thing to be as fast as it was on reads and writes. If your main drive is SSD-based, youre in for a treat. Transfers files pretty much as fast as your USB port will send them out.

> 3 dayAll I wanted is an external SSD drive to connect to a PC with Win7 with drive utilities-- no backup/cloud/security/or unwanted apps and trial software, etc. If you are like me, then do not install the WD Discovery software-- it breaks through your firewall, sets up a scheduled tasks to update itself-- trys to install the bloatware... So, after deleting the wanted programs and leaving the drive utilities (which you can download from WD.com without the Discovery software), I am disappointed with the drive utilities too. They are not specific to SSD drives, but at least the drive is formatted with exFAT. Perhaps I am spoiled with the SAMSUNG SSD drive utilities. WD if you are watching-- Give us a choice of what to load when launching your Discovery software. And, tell us simply what privacy we are giving up to use it. (I should think for just the utilities-- there should not be any private content taken from users.)

> 3 dayI transferring years and years of videos and photos from disc externals to these WD 2TB SSD’s. Silent. Takes very little USB power (helpful when you have 4 connected at once). No issues with these and I’m about to purchase another one. Seriously, for the size, these must work on pure magic.

> 3 daySeems to work just fine. Definitely gets warm (hot) if you leave it plugged to computer long.

Greater than one weekI purchased three of these drives and one came with a bad cable. Three hours with customer service led to: 1. WD: The serial number is invalid. Please send us a photo of the drive and proof of purchase. 2. WD: After two hours, oops wrong database, we found it but we cant send you the cable because its not under warranty. 3. Me: Its bad out of the box. 4. WD: Oh. Well we still cant send it because we dont sell the cable as a separate accessory. 5. Me: Send the damn cable 6. WD: Well discuss this with our RMA team and see what we can do. 7. Me: Supervisor please 8. WD: I understand your problem well get you your cable in less than two weeks. 9. Me: Aaaarrgh (This was all done in a three way conference call with an Amazon representative and WD still couldnt find a way to do the right thing.)

> 3 dayQuality ssd. I was very impressed by the size. I bought a 2TB one, and it is generally the length and width of a credit card or smaller. It is fairly thin, and can fit in a pocket very easily.

> 3 dayWorks fine - fast - USB cord is very short - like 3 or so inches long
